Speak In Code is bringing industrial New York vibes to Spinningfields. The award-winning cocktail bar serves up an imaginative list of signature sips and small plates against a backdrop of bare brick walls, atmospheric lighting and dark wooden touches. Tucked away on Jackson's Row, this hidden drinking den considers itself to be a 'Cocktail Narnia', with a curated menu of small plates and a relaxing soundtrack of lo-fi hip-hop adding to the ambience.

There's a real focus on sustainability at the heart of each creation, with drinks featuring everything from homemade lime cordials to banana skin bacon, and there's even kintsugi-inspired gold flicks adorning chipped glassware.

The cocktail menu itself is split into three parts: signatures (Tracks), B-sides (Untitled) and ClasSICS. Expect to find quaffable mixes like Track 4 which comes laced with Alleven Spirits Calvados, Pedro Ximinez 20yr, apple custard and rosemary soda before being finished with pine. Meanwhile, the Untitled section showcases a modern and minimalist approach, Untitled 8 is a fine example of how the bar will create its own pressed rhubarb and ginseng soda before adding waste sparkling wine to create a cordial that gets laced throughout a batch of Cham-pain Brockmans for a unique flavour combination. Then there's reimagined tipples including the mouthwatering SiC Mojito with Embargo Anejo Blanco, Wray & Nephew and the bar's mint and lime soda for extra freshness.
