Tribeca is a famous bar in Manhattan, whose name is taken from Triangle Below Canal Street - and Manchester’s own take on this institution also happens to be just below its own famous street of the same name! Canal Street is in the heart of Manchester’s gay village, and Tribeca takes the vibrancy and upbeat vibe of this whole area and distils it into an upmarket New York loft-style lounge bar of the best kind, with brilliant jazz sounds during the day and up-tempo tracks to dance the night away to.
Head downstairs and you’ll find another little space, the fabulously eclectic B.E.D. bar. It stands for Beverage, Entertainment and Dining. It also happens to have real beds strewn around the perimeter of the dance floor! B.E.D. is available to hire for private events and together with Tribeca, serves food daily until 9pm (think light bites, sharing platters and dishes from the grill). Drinks are very reasonable (£2.50 for most drinks until 8pm Sunday to Thursday!) and the cocktail pitchers are brilliant for groups - overall a great little place for the weekend crowd and anyone looking for a bit of a dance, which happens to be home to some seriously good beats and eats.Between 12 noon til 8pm you can get a good quality house wine for just £7.95. There has now been the return of the much loved 'half price cocktail' night on Fridays so you can have a great night out without breaking the bank.
