"Brilliantly recrafted for an adult audience. A must see."

★★★★★ Londonist

"You’ll leave screaming in terror, and crying with laughter."

★★★★  Culture Whisper

Step into the beautifully haunting world of Goosebumps Alive, a chilling modern update of the 90’s cult horror series. Equal parts terrifying and riotous, the hottest ticket in town puts you in the centre of chilling macabre tales.

London’s newest immersive experience is about to crawl out from beneath your feet...

Given a terrifying makeover from the fiendish minds behind Accomplice (Director), Alice’s Adventures Underground (Designer), and The Tiger Lillies (Music), find out what happens when your childhood fears become your adult nightmares.

Journey through the dark, abandoned vaults under Waterloo and walk the knife’s edge of fright and fun in this spine-tingling promenade show, brilliantly reimagined from the classic tales of R. L. Stine. The only way out is through 19 rooms populated by the denizens of your darkest dreams. Will you meet a killer scarecrow, face the haunted mask, escape from a deranged scientist, or be buried alive—or will you find the real horror lurking deep inside your head?

Go with friends, go with colleagues, or brave the adventure alone, but leave the kids at home—this is the Goosebumps of grown up fears.

Goosebumps Alive is an immersive, promenade theatre production that takes you through the cavernous Vaults beneath Waterloo station.  This production is a world premiere and is exclusive to London, so you will never have a chance to see it again!

No. You will be moving around and discovering the story.

It wouldn’t be Goosebumps without a little bit of fear. The show is fun, but does involve some jumps and surprises, as well as moving through dark and strange spaces. There will be moments of claustrophobia. And we do not recommend attending if you have a heart condition or are heavily pregnant. If any of this effects you, please make the Front of House staff aware on arrival who will be able to pre-negotiate the show to avoid extreme moments.

We are including little snippets from all of your favourite stories, but predominantly you can expect:

Say Cheese, And Die!

The Blob That Ate Everyone

The Haunted Mask

Stay Out Of The Basement

One Day In Horrorland

Night Of The Living Dummy

Absolutely. We are inspired by the books we loved as kids, our retelling of these stories is written for anyone to come along and enjoy.

Goosebumps Alive is aimed at adults, but can be attended by ages 12+. These ages are a guideline only so please use your own discretion when booking. Children aged between 12 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult to Goosebumps Alive.

Entrance to The Vaults is on Leake Street (the graffiti tunnel).

Postcode SE1 7NN.

Nearest station: Waterloo

Nearest Parking: U-Park, 2 Addington Street, SE1 7RY

If you are late for your time slot we cannot guarantee you access to the performance. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before your start time.

Goosebumps Alive runs for approx. 90 mins with no interval.

You are on your feet for the duration!

We’re afraid not. If you need to leave for any reason we will not be able to get you back in to the show. So make sure you use the loo before you enter.

No, filming or photography of the show isn’t allowed. Misuse of a camera can lead to very nasty things indeed… just wait and see.

There is a bar and snacks available at both the beginning and end of the production. The Vaults also has an excellent restaurant if you fancy dinner – but we recommend you book! You cannot bring your own food or drink in to the venue.

There is a cloakroom available at a charge of £2 p/item. If you would not like to use the cloakroom, we do advise travelling light as the show experience will be hampered by large coats or bags. Please be aware that large bags/suitcases will need to be checked into the cloakroom.

Absolutely brilliant! This has to be one of the best immersive experiences out there! I don't usually get scared easily especially at shows but I screamed a few times! Definately recommend! Ciemonne visited The Vaults on 27 May 2016

Not particularly scary and very overcrowded and hot. Felt quote disorganised and although the sets were interesting you could hear the other acts going on at the same time. Probably not worth the ticket price emily2015 visited The Vaults on 03 Jun 2016

Such talented performers, and a gripping story line. Although I was terrified, lost my voice for screaming so much and drew blood to my best friends arm via grabbing onto her so tightly it was a really good night. with a modern take on the books. My friend enjoyed it so much she planning on going back, although my nerves will not take it.

A lot of fun! Liked that there were modern takes on the old stories - though would have loved a few references to what we loved growing up. Excellent fun for fans and those who love a jump. Monster blood cocktail was red though, and not green - disappointing! ;) Mikhail visited The Vaults on 20 May 2016

Cleverly done. Great use of space. Equal mix of screams and laughs at the dark humour. Personally could have done with more scares, but there was a handful of people in my group who'd disagree. Good fun regardless. Louis visited The Vaults on 11 May 2016

A very fun and interesting night out. Not particularly scary, but it was great to experience the vaults and it was creatively put together. I would recommend it for anyone looking for something a little different on a date night. Matthew visited The Vaults on 13 May 2016

We enjoyed our Goosebumps experience which was well executed. Maybe the scariest bit was the walk to the vaults in the dark which is in a rough area of London. Robert visited The Vaults on 06 May 2016

Goosebumps alive was absolutely brilliant. It was all really well acted. The 'sets' were clever and well thought out. We were definitely a bit freaked out and scared at points. We loved it. Rebeccajohnsey visited The Vaults on 21 Mar 2016

It was a fun experience but having seen their production of Alice in wonderland, it didn't come close. That said, if you can check it out, do go, bring a group of friends and have a different style of night out! robbieb111 visited The Vaults on 21 Feb 2016

Really good night! Actors are terrific and so many different stories to go through. You could even do it again as we think there were some scenes we didn't get to experience but that's the beauty. nads_nz visited The Vaults on 05 Feb 2016

We had a really great night out. It was the right balance of scary and funny. If you want a snack before, the bar inside the vault serves delicious toasted sandwiched. Aviva visited The Vaults on 07 Feb 2016

I cannot wait to go to this event! I absolutely loved these books as a child! What a fantastic idea! I will definitely need a glass of wine to calm my nerves!
