MADAME CHANDELIER
Rough Guide to the Opera Bio: Whether you love opera, or need to know more so you can pretend you do, Madame Chandelier’s Rough Guide to the Opera is the show for you! Having stolen this great music from the grand opera house, Madame Chandelier, the joyfully ridiculous and self-proclaimed anti-diva of opera, is tearing down the pretence and bringing opera to the people. Nominated for: BEST COMEDY SHOW and BEST NEWCOMER, Manchester Fringe 2019 “Madame Chandelier’s charm and talent makes it entertaining and very funny.” ★★★★ North West End “Whether you’re a seasoned opera-goer or a complete newbie to the art form, Madame Chandelier’s Rough Guide to the Opera has something for you.” Fest “Engaging, sharp-witted, brilliant with her audience and a great singing voice, this is a show that emphatically pricks the pretence of opera. Highly recommended for anyone with a sense of humour – Madame Chandelier really does open up opera to all-comers.” Fringe Review “A startling achievement” British Theatre Guide “Brilliantly memorable” Operissima
