The Pahli Hill Society Series Celebrates Diwali with Sabrina Gidda and Chila Burman
Join us on Wednesday 8th of November as we come together to celebrate the Festival of Lights with incredible art and a delicious feast.
For the evening, Sabrina Gidda, Chef Creative Consultant and Author of Modern South Asian Kitchen, will join Chef Avi with a menu created using a hit list of all of their favourite ingredients. Expect South Asian flavours with accents of global cookery and modern European techniques.
We are so thrilled to be able to feature some of the renowned Chila Burman’s art throughout the restaurant during Diwali week. Born in Liverpool, Chila Kumari Singh Burman describes herself as a ‘Punjabi Liverpudlian’ who likes to combine her Indian roots with popular culture. Her art is fun and thought-provoking, using a mix of styles and techniques to create her work.
This dinner is part of a week-long celebration at Pahli Hill Bandra Bhai, from Monday 6th November to Sunday 12th November. We cannot wait to share with you all that is in store as part of the festivities.
The set menu for the night is £75 per person. We can't wait to celerate Diwali with you!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Pahli Hill Society Series at our home in Fitzrovia. Taking the name from the communal living ‘building societies’ of Bombay, our new supper club series will welcome chefs to join Chef Avi in the kitchen to create exciting one-off menus. Budgie Montoya will be reuniting with Avi Shashidhara at Pahli Hill Bandra Bhai on Wednesday 16th August, for an evening celebration of Filipino and Indian Cuisines. |
