Bourne & Hollingsworth Presents

THE PROHIBITION PARTY - 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL

Taking place for the first time on a secret boat three miles off-shore to escape the prying eyes of the police.

The Prohibition Party, London’s longest running 1920s immersive event, returns for an exclusive blowout on board a secret vessel to celebrate 100 years of Prohibition on Saturday 23rd March.

ALL ABOARD!

For ONE NIGHT ONLY, The Prohibition Party will take to the high seas for an intimate celebration, inviting London’s most glamorous pleasure-seekers to lose themselves in a riotous party, overflowing with twenties opulence. Engage in Starboard rendezvous with suave gents, lounge Portside whilst quaffing exquisite cocktails or let loose on the dance-floor as Big Ben strikes midnight.

SETTING SAIL on Saturday 23rd March from a secret central London pier, Bourne & Hollingsworth invite you to travel back to a time when footloose flappers danced the Charleston, card sharp cads tried their luck at the roulette table, and everyone quaffed on the free-flowing bootlegged booze. Whisking you away to the giddy magic and romance of the roaring Twenties, this Prohibition party promises an unforgettable evening as guests are entertained with spectacular floorshows and burlesque, live bands and gambling tables, all performing in the style of the era. A stage hosting live music, floor shows and cabaret acts will entertain passengers as the evening unfurls while two bars will serve classic cocktails and champagne will keep chatter bright and feet whirling.

The inspiration for this year’s party draws upon the three-mile limit, where floating casinos and bars were erected to booze legally, three miles off-shore throughout the 1920s, allowing America’s Bright Young Things to quench their thirst and blow off steam. In addition, 2019 sees the 100 year anniversary of The National Prohibition Act, which was passed through US Congress in 1919, laying the foundation for more than a decade struggle between the temperance movement and the people of the United States, who really, really wanted a drink.
