Update your wardrobe without exhausting your bank balance: get your rummage on and head down to Ministry of Sound for an afternoon of customisation and clothes-swapping.
You can still look great without splashing all your cash on high end fashion, right? Definitely. Car Boot Disco has been organised with this mantra in mind, hoping to encourage young people to update their wardrobe by re-using and recycling material, rather than spending money on fast fashion. Launching their Get Trashed Campaign, event organisers vInspired hope to save over 10,000 clothes from landfill and confront the issue of waste head on!
Offering a helping hand will be rising fashion designers, hosting special areas to provide unique professional customisation: expect studding, badging and ripping, bringing new life to tired items. Fashion scouts will be attending the event, scouring out the most stylish - the perfect chance to showcase individual style. The soundtrack will be provided by some of the best DJs from the UK dance music scene. Entry to the event at Ministry of Sound is free - just register online at the vInspired website.
