Ealing Summer Screenings
Sunday 14 July 2013
Brought to you by The Lexi, Nomad Cinema is a roaming pop-up cinema with a difference; 100% of the Nomad's profits go to their chosen charity, The Sustainability Institute in South Africa. Since 2010, The Nomad has earned the reputation as ‘London’s best outdoor cinema’ (Evening Standard), popping up at an inspiring range of beautiful, curious and downright strange screening locations across London and beyond.
More than just providing screenings of great films in appropriately great locations, Nomad events immerse you in the flavour of the film, with added elements such as music, themed decorations, quality catering and a warm friendly welcome…
Head down to the Ealing Summer Festival where you will find Nomad's Ealing Summer Screenings, who will be screening films including School of Rock and This is Spinal Tap. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink, including a limited (!) amount of alcohol (though ensure not to bring any glassware on site), leaving you to cosy up in the cool festival setting whilst laughing your socks off at these hilarious movies! The films are aired within the safety of a Big Top so you won't have to fret about the unreliable British weather either!
This mockumentary shows Filmmaker Marty DiBergi (best known for his commercial about that little dog who chases the covered wagon underneath the sink) as he documents the Brit rockers as they strive to crack the U. S of A with their hits – to name a few: “Big Bottoms”, “Sex Farm” and “Stone’enge”. But With gig cancellations and their popularity waning, backstage fights, technical mishaps, interfering groupie girlfriends and finding themselves as support for a puppet show… will the band survive?
