Hungry Heart – the world’s only Bruce Springsteen-dedicated club night – is BACK!!! Yes after a long COVID-related hiatus we make our IN REAL LIFE(!) return on Saturday 25 September at the legendary Oval Space in East London to celebrate the first Hungry Heart in almost two years, and more importantly BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN’S 72ND BIRTHDAY!
WHAT A REUNION THIS WILL BE!
Hungry Heart is known for its feel-good, liberating vibe and this night will not disappoint. We have seven whole hours to fill with a bumper to bumper playlist of Springsteen’s finest tracks – and don’t be fooled that it’s just the well-known hits played over and over.
We always delve deep into Bruce’s back catalogue, and will be spinning your favourites B-sides, live versions from the band’s most iconic concerts, big party tracks, the sad slowies and more. In essence: seven hours of nonstop Springsteen allows for some seriously good tunes. Jungleland! Thunder Road! Backstreets! Incident! Racing in the Street! You get the idea, right? And we take requests, so just whip out your cardboard sign and we’ll get it played (as long as it doesn’t say Pony Boy.... 😉)
What about the drinks we hear you say? Well we’ll have plenty of booze available at the very big bar, including lots of beer options (we’ve even managed to negotiate some pricing deals to help keep your costs down) and the usual suspects like wine, cider and tequila (Bruce’s favourite, no less). And while you’re chugging that sweet booze you can admire the venue, its world class sound and lighting system and its truly HUGE screen.
Thinking about attending solo but worried you’ll be [Wild] Billy no mates? Don’t worry! As soon as you walk through that door you’ll have a room full of new Bruce pals and you’ll be singing arm in arm in no time. Come early for some chat time and toe tapping before the raucous dancing takes hold. Just try and stop yourself.
We love holding smaller Hungry Hearts around the UK and Ireland when we can, but one thing’s for sure: Bruce’s birthday is always the biggest and the best. And a post-COVID party is set to be even better. You simply cannot beat a room full of fans singing the “oooh ooooh ooohh oooh oooh” from Badlands in unison. We’re getting goosebumps already.
So dust off that bandana, leave your inhibitions at the door and get ready for the best night of your life. We can’t WAIT to see you there!

***COVID ARRANGEMENTS****
You may have seen lots of discussion about vaccine passports, and there’s still some uncertainty on when or if the government will make these mandatory. Either way, for the safety of everyone attending, we would ask that you either A) are double vaccinated OR B) have a negative lateral flow test result on the day of the event. Tests are really easy to take and can be ordered for free via the NHS website, so if you aren’t vaccinated please do take one.
Rest assured, if you test positive for COVID and need to self isolate we will roll your ticket on to a future date (please be aware we’d need to see proof of this via the NHS app!).

The event space is very large and we are running the night at reduced capacity to make sure everyone in the venue has plenty of room, should you want it, while also keeping the Hungry Heart vibe intact! The room will have various sections so you can hang out where you fancy, including standing tables, raised dance platforms, a little bit of soft seating, an outside area and of course the main dancefloor (dancing not obligatory, swaying and singing along in your head is also absolutely fine). The venue has lots of sanitiser and you are of course welcome to wear masks wherever and whenever you like.
