💥Welcoming Qendresa & EZE to the Hackney Social on 20th of August! Qendresa is a songwriter, producer and dj, hailing from north west London, a part of town that has been synonymous over the decades with strands of sound system culture. Her often self produced electronic tinged soul and funk music pays homage to her affinity for these sounds as well as the eclecticism of the music she was raised around, from the rare groove of yesteryear to the rap and grime that soundtracked her adolescence, right through to the r&b and pop she adores from the likes of Mariah Carey, Aaliyah and so forth.
Qendresa comes to embody the melting pot that is London, whether her place as a result of the kosova diaspora or the position she’s carved out in the city’s music scene sitting comfortable whether gliding over a 808-laden track from one of grimes pacesetters or gracing the stage at jazz cafe with her 7 piece all female band.
Blending the finest Afro, dancehall, hip hop and R&B with a fusion of future beats and edits, EZE’s sound is uniquely described as a blend of rhythmic, future and head bopping sounds 🔥
