Rebecca Tommasi, a London-based jazz singer and songwriter, is making her highly anticipated debut appearance at the Toulouse Lautrec. With her debut EP 'Another Dawn' released in 2021, Rebecca is bringing her soulful and heartfelt melodies to the stage, showcasing her raw talent and unique artistic style.
'Another Dawn' is a beautiful and poetic masterpiece, inspired by the briefest of moments and the sheer beauty of human endurance. The EP is an exploration of life's complex themes, from childhood memories and nostalgia to love and loss, disappointment and acceptance, and everything in between. Originally produced by Jazz guitarist Francesco Lo Castro, 'Another Dawn' mixes genres such as jazz, folk, and trip-hop, creating a unique and compelling sound that blends different musical styles into one. Fans of Portishead will appreciate the band's influence on the EP, as the project exudes a similar ethereal and experimental vibe.
Despite coming to music later in life, Rebecca is quickly establishing her style and artistic voice through her songwriting, regularly performing on the London jazz scene.
