Fundraising for Tenovus Cancer Care Sing with Us London Choir.
Mixture of musical theatre, classical, folk and pop music.
Follow the story of a South East London resident discovering Nordic Walking in the same area, meeting new people, making new friends and a career change. This tale is illustrated by popular music from the past three hundred years from many different genres. First performed as a fundraising event for a different cause on Thursday 18th October 2018 at The Loft.
Bert is an ex-chorister of Norwich Cathedral who enjoys music in all its forms. He has been the organist of St John’s church in Deptford since his undergraduate days at Goldsmiths before becoming the choir master there as well. He teaches music and performs all round London and occasionally further afield. He is also an accomplished artist and is a studio tutor at the Inchbald School of Design. Bert lives in North London with his wife and sons.
Nico sang in a choir until the age of 12, then returned to singing in the choir at St John's Church in Deptford where he met Bert. He started exploring the art of the cabaret singer during his many visits to "The Loft" since 2015 which was the same year that he qualified as a Nordic Walking instructor. He was one of the original singers who joined the Tenovus Sing with Us choir in July 2016.
