Every month a different show. Join Jen & Sooz 107 Meridian FM's presenters here at Toulouse Lautrec for a Jazz, Soul & world music fest. With resident vocalist Jenny Green and her top-notch house band, Adrian York, Neville Malcolm, VINCE DUNN. Each month featuring a fresh guest vocalist, musician or both!!! So sit back with a drink and enjoy the show in a Jazz Club atmosphere.

GILL MANLY (VOCALIST) GILL MANLY BEGAN SINGING AT AN EARLY AGE, NEVER BELIEVING THAT SHE WOULD ONE DAY RUB SHOULDERS WITH THE GREAT EARTHA KITT, WHILST PERFORMING IN CHELSEA.  RAISED ON A DIET OF JAZZ RECORDS BY HER FATHER, GILL NATURALLY BEGAN IMERSE HERSELF IN THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK.  AGED 18 SHE HEADED FOR LONDON TO DRAMA SCHOOL WHERE SHE BEGAN TO PERFORM, chosen to perform in various fringe musicals in londons west end gill soon discovered that her rel love lay in musical theatre and great broadway shows.  thus the singer was born.



on meeting ian shaw in 1983 gill became convinced that interpreting jazz standards in a new way was her true path.  the duo have been friends ever since. they went on to share bills with fringe performers of THE era like barb jungr, julian clary and rory bremner.  together they discovered the 606 club and this was a turning point.  here they met other jazz musicians and gill forged links with pianists such as bill le sage who became her mentor and teacher.  she has gone on to perform at ronnie scotts, crazy coqs, and many more of the top jazz venues in the country and still continues to perform on the stage more recently playing bette davis in 'bette and joan' the final curtain.


THE HOUSE BAND



Adrian York (Piano) Born into a family of five generations of musicians, Adrian York knew from his earliest years that he wanted to follow his family trade. Adrian started his professional career wearing a sailor’s hat in the early 80s boyband Roman Holliday, a retro pop-swing band that took the world of girl’s magazines by storm. In the 1990s he became musical director for JAZZ FM LIVE EVENTS for whom he ran the Dinner Jazz Quartet, Rhythm Blues & Soul Revue, Cotton Club Revue and Miles Davis Tribute Group. As producer Adrian York has worked with some of the great British voices of the 21st century including Mari Wilson, Barb Jungr and Ian Shaw.

Neville Malcolm (Electric & Double bass) One of the most in-demand bass players in the country. Known as ‘Level-Neville’, he is an understated star on both acoustic and electric bass, combining an earthy, soulful feel with effortless technical ability. Coming from a background in Gospel music, Neville started out playing organ and guitar, switching to bass as he developed an ever-greater interest in jazz and other music. Turning professional in the early ‘90s, he worked with Philip Bent and Steve Williamson and became part of London’s Acid Jazz scene. He has since performed all over the world and recorded with Billy Cobham, Gabrielle, Tom Jones, Carl Orr, Alex Wilson, Nathan Haynes, Marlene Shaw, Dave Valentin and Jack DeJohnette. Most recently he has been touring and recording with two of the world’s best-known jazz crossover groups, Incognito and Us3.

VINCE DUNN (DRUMS) FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS VINCE HAS BEEN PERFORMING WITH A WID AND ECLECTIC MIX OF ARTISTS FROM THE VINCE DUNN ORCHESTRA, THE AIM, PHARRELL WILLIAM, LEON WARE, MADONNA, COURTNEY PINE, KYLIE MINOGUE, LOOSE ENDS, THE FUNK MASTERS, CLEO LAINE, LIANE CARROL, JACK PACK AND MANY MORE. HIS LOVE OF RHYTHM HAS ENABLED HIM TO TEACH AND RUN HIS OWN DRUM CLINICS SHARING HIS PASSION FOR MUSIC AND TO INSPIRE OTHERS IN ADDITION TO PERFORMING ALL OVER THE WORLD.
