‘Solo powerhouse’, Richard Shelton is best known to UK TV audiences as the charmingly murderous, Dr. Adam Forsythe in TV’s ‘Emmerdale. On stages from London’s West End to New York and LA, for his critically acclaimed ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ nominated portrayal of Frank Sinatra in the hard-hitting drama, ‘Rat Pack Confidential’ and in jazz clubs, theatre’s and stadiums for his solo work.

Richard’s wide-ranging career follows that of his icon, Sinatra, having featured in US TV, in movies and he has recorded in London’s Abbey Road and LA’s Capitol Studios and EastWest studios. His one-man show ‘Sinatra and Me’ has played to packed houses across the world.

On the UK music circuit, Richard has appeared at London’s ‘Ronnie Scott’s’, on BBC Radio 2 and 4 with the BBC Concert Orchestra and BBC Big Band and performed live on countless TV shows.

Richard has performed for British and European Royalty, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, for Sir Elton John and in movies including ‘I Capture the Castle’ and ‘My Week With Marilyn’.

“The hit songs, interwoven with teasing irony into the story get a rapturous response, especially thanks to Richard Shelton as an unnervingly authentic Sinatra."
The Stage

"Sinatra: The Main Event stars Richard Shelton, one of the world’s finest Sinatra interpreters. Shelton performed as Frank Sinatra in “Rat Pack Confidential,” a stunning performance that saw him nominated Best Actor in a leading role."
Los Angeles Times

“No one should take lightly standing onstage trying to BE Frank Sinatra, but Richard Shelton is quite simply phenomenal. He captures the essence of the man perfectly. His voice has exactly the right tone; he has that twinkle in his eye; he has the anger that sometimes flowed out of every Sinatra pore.”
Mike Young, BBC
