An intense re-imagining of the Bacchae by Euripides, with a hypnotic 1960s setting. 36 audience members mingle with 7 performers in a free-roam immersive show in an underground crypt.
Take a trip to the city of Thebes, where King Pentheus believes he has everything under control - that is until his divine cousin Dionysus turns up seeking revenge on the family who have expressed doubt about this upstart god’s status. Witness first-hand the clash between mortals and the divine. You will ask yourself … do you deny a god?

Exclusive access to a one person pre-show experience and be the first audience member on set that night. There is only one Dionysus ticket per show. Please note that holders of Dionysus tickets will need to attend 30 mins before the published start of the show.
The Devoted Experience
Be in the first group to enter Thebes. Gain access to a new private experience where you can prove your loyalty to the gods. There is only one Devoted ticket per show. Please note that holders of Devoted tickets will need to attend 30 mins before the published start of the show.
Standard

Show times Arrival:
Tues-Sat evenings - Doors will be open 7:30pm-7:45pm for entry. Please arrive before 7:20pm for check-in. Dionysus and The Devoted Experience ticketholders should arrive by 7:00pm.
Sat matinees - Doors will be open 3:00pm-3:15pm for entry. Please arrive before 2:50pm for check-in. Dionysus and The Devoted Experience ticketholders should arrive by 2:30pm.
Sun matinees – Doors will be open 4:00pm-4:15pm for entry. Please arrive before 3:50pm for check-in. Dionysus and The Devoted Experience ticketholders should arrive by 3:30pm.
Dionysus and The Devoted Experiences - Guests should arrive by the times stated above as late arrival will mean missing your exclusive experience due to the nature of the show.
Please note that the show is a non-seated event, where you can explore the set and choose to follow specific characters. There will be scenes of a disturbing nature and the performance is not appropriate for those with sensitivity to lighting - for further information email info@sleepwalkimmersive.com.
Bacchanalia is an 18+ experience and audience members will be offered alcoholic drinks. Some audience members may also be offered food to eat or clothing to wear. Please let the Front of House team know of any allergies on arrival at the show and prior to entering the set. You can email info@sleepwalkimmersive.com with any questions.
The venue does not have a cloakroom and large bags cannot be carried on set. Toilet facilities at CRYPT are limited, so there may be queues.
Please note that tickets once purchased cannot be exchanged or refunded.
Accessibility
Our venue is the crypt of a working church in Bethnal Green and is not fully accessible and not wheelchair-accessible.
We are pleased to be able to provide one Essential Companion ticket for each performance. Due to space, layout, and staffing at the venue, we are limited to this number. Essential Companion tickets will be available up to one week before each performance.
Please send appropriate evidence within 48 hours of your ticket purchase to info@sleepwalkimmersive.com - for example Blue Badge, National Disability Card, or evidence of PIP. Guests who do not provide this information within this window will have their money refunded. On the day of the performance, please bring a form of photo ID.
Please note that our risk assessments and insurance require that your Essential Companion remain with you at all times on the set.

Sleepwalk Immersive
At Sleepwalk, we consider ourselves the next generation of fully immersive theatre. Formed in 2022 by a group of young creatives working in the industry, Sleepwalk offer intense theatrical experiences for small audiences, telling stories which will haunt and enthral.
Our creative team have grown up in a world of free-roaming theatre where the audience has agency. We understand this world better than any generation that has gone before and now we are seeking to move it to the next level.
Why merely dream, when you can sleepwalk with us? You might never wish to wake.
T&Cs
1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
13. Guests with accessibility needs who have purchased an accompanying Essential Companion ticket are required to send appropriate accessibility evidence for the Standard ticketholder within 48 hours of ticket purchase to info@sleepwalkimmersive.com - for example Blue Badge, National Disability Card, or evidence of PIP.
