As part of the Le Cordon Bleu London Alumni Chapter, we are
pleased to present English Summer Wines, hosted by with Le Cordon
Bleu alumna Jiachen Lu in partnership with Gusbourne
Estate.
Please note, for this event each alumni is allowed to bring 1
additional guest who is not alumni, but all guests require a
ticket.
Le Cordon Bleu alumni are invited to sample a variety of English wines at this exclusive event at Cord by Le Cordon Bleu restaurant. Lead by Head Sommelier at Cord, Jiachen Lu, who will present a selection of English wines alongside featured producers, Gusbourne Estate, and with canapes created by Cord chefs.
Jiachen graduated from Le Cordon Bleu London with a Diploma in Wine Gastronomy and Management with Internship Pathway in 2018. After a sommelier internship at the Little Nell in Aspen, Jiachen returned to Le Cordon Bleu London in 2019 to attend the Diplôme de Cuisine in which led to an internship opportunity at Le Gavroche in London.
Jiachen went on to become Assistant Head Sommelier at Dinings SW3, and won both the Gosset Matchmakers in 2023 and Copa Jerez UK competition in 2022 and Copa Jerez International in 2023. Jiachen joined Cord restaurant in 2024, where she curates an exceptional list of wines and beverages and shares her expertise with our guests to enhance their dining experience. Since joining Cord, Jiachen has been recognised as number 29 in the prestigious 2025 Top 100 Sommeliers list from Sommelier Edit.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
