Street food company DubPlates Kitchen bring their rocksteady repertoire of Caribbean dishes remixed with a London vibe to private members club LIBRARY in St. Martin’s Lane on Fridays and Saturdays from August 14th for four weekends.

DubPlates is the brainchild of two friends with a Caribbean heritage and shared London upbringing. The street food company was inspired by memories of their Mum's curry goat and rice and peas, fish and chips on a Friday, enjoying a curry in Brick Lane, and comforting school dinner desserts. Reggae music on the stereo at home, listening to the Top 40 on the radio, raving across London and having a bagel afterwards in Ridley Road.

Since launching their company together, as well as sharing their passion for their culture at street food events such as Street Feast and hosting their own supper clubs, the pair have catered events for Adidas - Pharrell’s Supercolor trainer launch, Ministry Of Sound, hosted a successful pop-up at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen restaurant, and Kew Gardens’ Full of Spice Festival.

Now DubPlates will be sharing their remixed Caribbean food at LIBRARY, offering the Mixtape Tasting Menu which consists of a selection of some of DubPlates finest dishes for you to pick and choose from, and our Caribbean take on the very British institution of Afternoon Tea.

Diners can choose their own mix of dishes selecting from DubPlates culinary hits, which include 48 hour-marinated Sorrel Chicken Wings - bite-sized wings drizzled with a sorrel and chilli sauce, Curry Goat Sliders - curried goat in a brioche bun, crispy Plantain with pickle, Mango and Sriracha, Breadfruit Smiles - roasted Breadfruit with a coconut rundown dip - are some of the dishes which will be available on the night.

Or diners can opt for the Chef’s Selection Mixtape Tasting Menu, a specially selected eight-course experience which includes some of DubPlates signature dishes and additional surprises exclusive to the Chef’s Selection. Advance booking is required.

And for those who prefer an earlier start, Saturday afternoons will play host to a laidback Caribbean remix of Afternoon Tea specially created for the pop up at LIBRAY. The Caribbean Afternoon Tea experience will include treats like Papaya Scones with Guava Preserve and Clotted Cream, the classic Victoria Sandwich, but with a Passion Fruit Curd, as well as our remixed finger sandwiches, tea and Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee.

With Wray & Nephew rum cocktails and music by Mr Smooth, expect the unexpected as Dub Plates Kitchen bring a relaxed vibe to your weekend.
