Brought to you by The Lexi, Nomad Cinema is a roaming pop-up cinema with a difference; 100% of the Nomad's profits go to their chosen charity, The Sustainability Institute in South Africa. Since 2010, The Nomad has earned the reputation as ‘London’s best outdoor cinema’ (Evening Standard), popping up at an inspiring range of beautiful, curious and downright strange screening locations across London and beyond.
More than just providing screenings of great films in appropriately great locations, Nomad events immerse you in the flavour of the film, with added elements such as music, themed decorations, quality catering and a warm friendly welcome…
The park opened in 1886 and was named Queen's Park in honour of the reigning monarch, who was celebrating her Golden Jubilee the following year. Perfect for events, the local community host two annual festivals at Queen's Park, keeping the park at the heart of the community's live music and cultural offerings. Nomad Cinema bring their unique offering to this vibrant and stunning area of London, so be prepared to be wowwed by the gorgeous ground of Queen's Park.
In the role that really shot him to fame, the film revolves around Kevin Spacey (American Beauty, LA Confidential, Moon, House of Cards) as the main teller of tales, and also stars a young Benicio Del Toro (Che, 21 Grams, Traffic, Sin City) as well as Gabriel Byrne, Pete Postlethwaite, Giancarlo Esposito and a whole ensemble of terrific talents.
This crime caper is set apart from the rest due to Singer’s super slick direction, the plot’s twists ‘n’ turns, and its superb character-driven performances. With plenty of violence and naughty words, this is definitely not one for the kids!
