CORAM SECRET GARDEN
Discover an intimate secret garden in the heart of London’s Bloomsbury, hidden in the grounds of a wonderful charitY. Coram is the UK’s first children’s charity, established as a refuge for abandoned children by Captain Thomas Coram who, in 1720, returned from sea and was determined to help the children he saw abandoned on London’s streets. His 19-year campaign finally caught the attention of King George II who, in 1739, gave Captain Coram a Royal Charter to create the Foundling Hospital in Bloomsbury, which was then surrounded by fields. You can head to Coram's secret, and beautifully lit garden to watch Nomad's special screenings...
THE LOST BOYS
'Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It’s fun to be a vampire.’In director Joel Schumacher’s hit 80s teen horror, a divorced mum (Dianne Wiest) and her two sons (Jason Patric and Corey Haim) become involved with a local gang when they move into an offbeat Northern California seaside town. They soon discover that this gang has fangs. Kiefer Sutherland leads the leather-clad pack of bloodsucking bikers, displaying impressive amounts of both hair and eye-liner.
Redefining the vampire genre with its clever blend of cool and gore, the film was a pop-culture phenomenon when it was first released and has since developed enviable cult status. With a brilliantly nostalgic soundtrack, retro stylings and grizzly deadpan comedy courtesy of the coolest Grandpa on the West Coast…
