Good Will Hunting with Science Commentary
- Chelsea Old Town Hall
Description
Good Will Hunting is confusing and awesome, but have you ever wondered about the maths involved behind Good Will Hunting? Me to, but I'm not bright enough to figure out how it works so we've got a mathematician and a couple of comedians to give you a very special maths commentary of Good Will Hunting:
The Mathematician: James Grimes
James is a mathematician from the University of Cambridge, but you’re more likely to have seen him on the 1,000,000-subscriber channel Numberphile on YouTube. He also genuinely understands the maths involved in Good Will Hunting… I just thought they were weird looking stickmen.
The Comedian: Dan Schreiber
Dan is a real life QI Elf, host and co-creator of the award winning QI podcast ‘No Such Thing As A Fish’ and he is also the co-creator of the BBC’s Museum of Curiosity. He is well on his way to becoming a national treasure.
The Host: Helen Arney
Helen is one third of Festival of the Spoken Nerd, presenter for "You Have Been Warned" over on the Discovery Channel and BBC2’s Coast, and in charge of making sure nothing catches on fire and the Science Flicktion screenings. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.
