Cognac Braastad are a family-run producer, combining French and Norwegian heritage to bring a modern and innovative approach to their craft.
The history of the Braastad family spans several centuries, but the history of Braastad Cognac begins in 1875 when a young man from Charente founded his own Cognac House, Maison Tiffon, on the banks of the Charente river in Jarnac.
Five generations later, the company is still managed by the grandsons of Sverre Braastad. They are proud to continue an ancestral know-how, and is one of the few houses to still control every step of the process, from vineyards to bottling, themselves. The family thus defends three fundamental values that are its own: authenticity, traceability and quality.
We will be joined by Alexis Gonzalez from Braastad, to talk us through both their story and bottles, from classic Cognac styles to modern bottlings, to showcase their blending of innovation with traditional craft.
