Join The Jugged Hare for an afternoon of clay pigeon shooting at one of the leading target shooting clubs in England. Whether you are an experienced shooter or a first timer, you’ll be put through your paces in the field.

Following a day of exhilarating sport and fresh country air, The Jugged Hare will serve up a three course game feast with matching wines, making it the perfect end to a great day of sport.

Itinerary:

8am: Meet at The Jugged Hare for fresh orange juice, pastries, fresh fruit, bacon sandwiches and tea/coffee.

9am: Jump on board our coach to the A1 Shooting Ground in Barnet. Remember to swat up on your shooting knowledge beforehand, as we’ll be kicking things off with game themed bingo!

10am: Arrive at the shooting ground, divide into groups and receive an all-important safety briefing.

10.15am: The shooting commences and the real fun begins! The shooting includes 50 targets, 50 cartridges, ear and eye protection and a club gun. Qualified instructors will be on hand to take you through the finer points of the sport and help you brush up on your technique. The clay targets provided will accommodate all levels of experience and you’ll be put through your paces over a series of challenging, but by no means impossible traps, throwing targets at different directions, speeds and angles.

11.45am: Short break for ‘hunters’ sandwiches and refreshments.

12.30pm: Shooting re-commences.

2pm: You’ll be all out of cartridges by now so it’ll be time for a quick beer/glass of wine before hopping back on the coach and heading back to the City.

3pm: the time arrives to sit back and relax in our private dining room, where you will enjoy a three course game menu specially designed by Head Chef Stephen Englefield with wine selected by ETM Group’s sommelier Guillaume Mahaut.

Cost for the full day’s activities including drinks throughout the day, transport, tutored shooting, gun hire and a three course lunch with matching wines is only £195 per person (includes VAT).
