How did I guess what you were thinking? I know…how ARE you going to deal with the cynical marketing shambles that is Valentine’s Day? Relax, it’s taken care of. Midnight Apothecary will be opening its broad church doors on Saturday 13 February to the loved up, the hopeful, the curious, the cynical and the doubtful.

Be thou in a merry throng, on thine own or in a merry couple, fireside merriment, midwinter cocktails and sizzling souvlaki will be yours…..and more. Inside the candlelit Engine House there will be live music of the torchsong variety (with an edge) from the wonderful Nathan Osgood Trio some AND..quell your beating heart..an optional descent into Brunel’s dark, underground love cave for a reading of some salacious secret diaries and a love story. If you need to cool off, come outside to the magical candle lit garden and toast some marshmallows. If you can't sate that hunger, I Should Be Souvlaki will be serving up delicious Greek souvlaki down on the terrace.

And people, whether you want to quench your lover’s thirst, drown your sorrows or find the noble inner you I am preparing some very special seasonal potions that will be fresh and wild, just like you! We are very proud this event is part of the inaugural See16 Arts Festival weekend taking place in venues across SE16 between 11 and 14 February.  Entry includes free toasted marshmallows and the deep, dark descent into the love chamber with the saucy stories. Please note these tours in the underground chamber will take place at 6pm and 10pm. For more details about the Brunel Museum visit http://www.brunel-museum.org.uk
