We bought one of the packages, a hefty £70 for unlimited cocktails & pic n mix (for 2 people for 2 hours). The staff were unwelcoming, the music was quiet so atmosphere was lacking, the cocktails were more like watered down punches and I suspect deliberately slow (first ones took around half an hour to arrive), we were asked for money up front, which whilst it didn't bother me to begin with, I believe contributes furthermore to the lack of hospitality. And to top it all off, you help yourself to the unlimited poor selection of pic n mix which is on a trolley for anyone to put their hands in. Overall a complete waste of money, which is a shame because it's a quirky space and a very cool concept.

What a find. Have been wanting to come here for such a long time. My birthday was therefore the perfect excuse. Staff were so helpful and we all loved our time. Wished it could have gone on for longer. jessicat7 visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 21 Dec 2016

We heart Little Nan's Bar! We visited this Saturday and had the BEST time. Pop belters, cocktails in teacups, leopard print interiors and throwback accessories. We were in a nineties time warp and we ruddy loved it! We can't wait to go back! Leanne visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 01 Jul 2016

The best 27th Birthday a girl could ask for! This was my second visit to a Little Nan's Bar (I previously attended the pop up in Shoreditch) and once again it did not disappoint! There was a large group of us (23) and Tristan and the whole team such a pleasure to deal with and made my birthday extra special every step of the way. If you like random props, fruity cocktails and cheesy music book now!! X Abbiecjohnson visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 04 Jul 2016

So we arrived at Little Nan's for a hen night, only to find that there had a been a technical issue with our booking ( we booked the wrong date :-0 ) Little Nans did what any little Nan would do, they figured out how to make us welcome and how to make sure we still had a great night. Massive thanks to you all, the Brides smile could be seen from space .. oh the DJ... awesome tunes.. :-) thank you all, you'll see me again, The cocktail were LUSH!

Incredible venue! Very warm as it was in the basement under a pub on an unusually hot day BUT this did not matter! The cocktails were tasty and so cute! The venue is really fun and the staff are just so lovely! I went there for my Hen and I was not disappointed! Such a memorable night! Kirsty visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 13 Jun 2016

Pub doesnt look very nice outside but once you get downstairs it's lovely! We was told when we got there that there was no music as it was broken however they had aux lead so we played music off our phone and didn't have to sit in silence! Would reccomend as it was good experience and a cute little venue downstairs. chloehigs visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 26 Apr 2016

Pub looks like nothing from the outside but when you head downstairs there were great drinks, loved the props, ace cheesy tunes! Staff were pleasant and would definitely come back again :) (staff upstairs were also really lovely so if you have some time before your booking I'd recommend staying there for one or two beforehand!) Such a fun place to go! It is like being at a kids party with alcohol. Would highly recommend for a birthday or special occasion. The cocktails aren't the best, but the surroundings make up for that and the staff were happy to get us other drinks. Jane visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 14 Apr 2016

It was really fun and a great concept but it would have been even better if the music had been Caribbean to match the theme. I would definitely go again. michelle visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 26 Apr 2016

Dear Little Nan, Thanks so much for having Gina in last night! Gina couldn't believe what an amazing time she had in the bar and downstairs in the 90's rave. Gina wanted to thank you personally so I thought I would take the time to write a quick review here. Gina loved the Spice Girl punch (although we think it was the cause of her heartburn it was so strong!), also Gina said that the popcorn was so yummy that we have to go when you are not popping it to stop her getting too fat! The rave was really good and Gina had such a good time she really wants to know when you're planning the next one so she can get together with her Belles and have a good night out dancing and drinking. As a fan of Little Nan's Gina also wanted me to say she is really looking forward to the Rio bar opening and is even thinking of dressing up in her carnival outfits one night - just give her any excuse! Thanks Little Nan, Gina has been working so hard these last few months when the company see her relax and unwind in a place she feels comfortable and at home The Gina Cabaret as a company is really happy. Can't wait for the summer! CGx

The atmosphere was quite dry, however decoration was amazing. Took over an hour to get our cocktails, and felt like we had paid £35 for one cocktail at one point, then got cocktails all at once but did not have enough time to drink them, don't think we will go back.. Is good to chat with friends.. Cocktails were OK, very watered down and lots of juice not much alcohol Prudance visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 09 Mar 2016

I was skeptical going in as I've had cocktails in teapots before and they're usually tiny and diluted with ice... Little Nan's was different though! The cocktails are delicious and the teapots are huge. The tropical den is really atmospheric (don't be put off by the dingy pub above it). We had a great night and would definitely go again! It wasn't too crowded, even on a Saturday night, so worth trying to walk in if you're in the area Aimee visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 27 Feb 2016

I went here with my fiancé for our Alphabet Date Night! Had such a great time! Had to ask for the popcorn and sweets to start with and music kept being stopped and started depending of the barmaids choice as appose to a constant background noise - would definately recommend for a fun night out! Visited little nans tropical den for 2 hours of bottomless cocktails, picknmix and popcorn..sadly the popcorn machine wasn't working. :( the venue is great so cosy and there's a lot of character! Tristan and the Irish woman (didn't get her name) couldn't do enough for us and helped the 2 pf us through 6 teapots of cocktails 🙈 the candy shots are incredible we had worthers original and it was heaven in a jar! Definitely go...we're planning on going to the new Shoreditch one next!! :D Hannah visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 15 Jan 2016

not my cup of tea! pardon the pun. We bought 2 tickets for £10 each which said unlimited bottomless cocktails and popcorn and pick and mix unlimited. When we go there we were told the ticket value was £10 only and not unlimited and after that you had to pay. There was no pick and mix on offer and when we asked for popcorn we were given a small cup of it which came out of the £10 nothing was unlimited. The venue is in the basement of a pub, dark and claustrophobic with granny sofas and 70's style decor ,for a quirky look. Which would have been ok if they had spent a bit more and made it look cleaner and fresher. It was cramped on a Saturday night. Also health and safety was a concern if there was a fire upstairs the only way out was the way you came in down the steps into the basement. The drinks were served in teapots and we drank from tea cups which hang from hooks on the wall. Again nice idea but just felt like it was all a bit grubby and unhygienic. The only thing that I enjoyed was the music which was excellent and made you want to boogie, but there was no room and very hot with all the bodies in the basement! You wont be seeing us there again! One star for the music only. Sezen visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 23 Jan 2016

I had a fab wee birthday night of chatting, cocktails and dancing at the gorgeously kitsch Little Nan's back in November, and my friends all loved the fun and quirkiness of it all. So thanks to one and all. x Kelly visited Little Nan's Tropical Den on 04 Nov 2015

Decor is amazing! So much to discover in all the little nooks and crannies of the downstairs room. We enjoyed trying on headwear whilst sipping cocktails from our fancy teacups - some of the cocktails were rather sweet but (as they said below) this could be due to our choices and we ended up just getting a teapot of a spirit and mixer that was equally as delicious. We chose to eat and the food from the kitchen upstairs was delicious! We even ended up having a drink and boogie to the DJ upstairs at the end of the night so was a great night all round. We are looking forward to seeing where Little Nan's ends up next as we have heard it will be even closer to our neck of the woods. All in all, really good fun and recommend it! The venue for Little Nan's looked amazing. It was very comfortable and the vibe was really friendly and chilled. It could have done with being a little bigger though as there wasn't any room to dance, which was a shame! We went for a friend's birthday party so we asked if they could name a cocktail after her (like it said in the designmynight blurb!) in our pre-arrival emails! We thought the birthday cocktail might have been on the menu for the night, which would have been a nice touch, but it wasn't! However, when we asked the staff to make one up they asked for her favourite spirits and came over with it in a lovely teapot, so that was nice! The food and drink was a little bit on the expensive side and we didn't see popcorn or a pick n' mix stand, but it was great they took the ten pound deposit off our bill at the end of the night.
