SARA BARRON
Sara is an American writer turned stand-up living in London. While Stateside, she wrote for Vanity Fair, published two essay collections, and earned the role of host for the hit U.S. storytelling show, The Moth. This, in turn, gave her the bug for live performance. It also introduced her to her British husband, which prompted an eventual move to the UK. Since she started stand-up she has been nominated as Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival and appeared on Live at the Apollo, The Guilty Feminist, BBC R4Xtra, and Dave Gorman’s “Modern Life is Goodish”.
Her mix of unvarnished stories from her own life and those she meets have helped her skyrocket up the British comedy scene, as audiences have fallen in love with her gossipy, charming and outrageous stand-up.
“When you aren’t squirming, you’re laughing out loud.” Los Angeles Times
“Sara Barron is the reigning queen of New York’s live storytelling scene. In The Harm in Asking she proves she’s even better written down.” Jon Ronson, author of The Psychopath Test
“An excellent line in cynicism about sex, life and friendship.” Evening Standard
“Filthy and fearless.” Daily Telegraph
GILLI APTER

JAKE LAMBERT
Jake fell into a career as a stand up, after gaining a following on Twitter under the pseudonym @LittleLostLad. He decided to put down his iPhone and pick up a microphone. It has proven to be a great choice with him making it to the final of pretty much every new act competition in the business.
He has gone on to support Michael McIntyre, Seann Walsh, Kerry Godliman, Tom Allen and Rob Beckett on their UK tours as well as writing on Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Now Show, News Quiz, Virtually Famous, Bake Off: The Professionals, and Bake Off: An Extra Slice. There are few gag writers in the business with an eye, tongue and pen as sharp and hilarious as Jake. This Christmas he's finally getting his Major League breakthrough with a debut appearance on Live at the Apollo.
“A joke machine.” The Telegraph
AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:
BEN VAN DER VELDE
One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.
"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.” Huffington Post
