A party to celebrate 15 years of The Remix on Xfm Radio with Eddy™. Imagine a party where you can catch a band or Electronic act early, grab a beer or two at one of the pub priced bars, have some food and dance to the DJ's upstairs or as the night gets later go down to the New York inspired club. Did we mention private Karaoke rooms, amusement arcades and bowling lanes?
One of the greatest nights in UK club history was Eddy's Remix night, at Cargo, years ago, where he and Mark Jones from Wall Of Sound persuaded 26 DJs, each representing a different letter of the alphabet, to come and drop one tune each. 5,000 people *say* they were there at the legendary A to Z of DJs. 500 were *actually* there.
Eddy has invited 15 of his favourite DJs/Producers/bands from this millenium to come to Bloomsbury Lanes and play back to back in one long, seamless, live mix over two rooms.. All of this will be recorded, as live and broadcast on Xfm, topped off by the legend that is James Lavelle, who is making a special audio visual contribution from the UNKLE studio to help this mix end with a colossal bang.
As well as this stellar line up of Xfm Remix championed DJs, Producers and bands, there will be live music from one of Eddy's top tips for this year. Already hammered on his show in 2014 and this year, and heralded as "the next Kasabian" by eddy himself, we are proud to present the brilliant Kassassin Street, whose dance-rock swagger will ignite the upstairs playroom at Bloomsbury Bowl.
In addition to all of this, we have a special birthday set from The Acid Horse, the equine masked DJ who dresses in white and plays 88-91 acid music to heaving dance floors the world over.
Finally, and most importantly, the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK is suicide. Men are four times more likely to kill themselves than woman, and this awful male haemmorhage is what C.A.L.M. and eddy are fighting to staunch. They are dying because they don't talk enough, and 15 men communicating perfectly in a back to back mix is a powerful visual metaphor, and a reminder for us all to communicate our feelings better.
