The Horse & Groom New Years Eve spectacular 2015 and what a party it promises to be with a evening planned of the finest music, drinking, dancing and celebration taking place over all three rooms of Shoreditch's fav party pub . The whole venue is going to have a festive transformation too with each floor having a different makeover theme alongside some crazy visuals and plenty of surprises to make the party a night to remember. Early bird tickets which will be going on sale a bargain £10 are available from Design My Night ( please note it is well worth purchasing these as our NYE party for the last 5 years have sold out way before the big night. The drinks will be pub price drinks all night there will be lots of special treats for the early arrivals plus a 6am licence to boot. We are particularly excited this year as Andy Smith (Ex Portishead) will be hosting downstairs with his 'Boombox' meets 'Reach Up' party while house and disco party crew take over upstairs.
Downtown- Boombox' meets 'Reach Up' DJ Andy Smith brings together not one, but two of his nights to the downstairs bar of The Horse & Groom on New Years Eve on Thursday Dec 31st 2015.
The 'Boombox' night combines with the 'Reach Up crew (having already done Bestival, Lovebox & the back room of Carl Cox's Space night in Ibiza) to give a quality soundtrack of 70s - 90s Funk. Old School Hip Hop early House, Disco & Boogie to see in the new year in fine style.
DJ Andy Smith - DJ Andy Smith is best known for releasing the first ever major label multi genre mix CD, The Document (FFRR/London records) and for supplying samples and warming up for Bristol based band Portishead during the 90’s. He has gone on to release many more DJ mix CD’s on various labels and holds down weekly DJ residencies in London as well as touring the globe in his own right
Nick Halkes - From founding XL recordings and signing the Prodigy through to getting ‘in the mix’ as a guest on both Mistajam and B-traits Radio One shows under his Horx guise in 2012, Nick has played a consistently dynamic role in the global evolution of dance music. Catching Nick at Reach up is a rare chance to hear him play the tunes that inspired him to make that journey.
Crissy Kybosh - With around 15 years of experience supporting a diverse selection of acts from De La Soul to Chesney Hawkes (seriously), Crissy is no stranger to rockin a party. DJing and Producing for the Hip Hop group 'Twisted Link' he has his roots in Hip Hop/Scratch DJing but as any good DJ, has wide tastes and a varied bag. Expect tight mixing and good vibes.
