Join us on our monthly sourdough course where you get a thorough introduction into the world of sourdough baking. Giving you the skills, tricks and tools to bake sourdough at home.
We will start the day with a cuppa, some light stretches and a brief intro into different forms of yeast and terminology.
Then we'll get our hands into mixing our main sourdough bread which will need our care & attention every half an hour for the next 4 hours.
We'll use these half an hour slots to create some quicker rye dough, pizza dough (which we'll then eat for lunch!) and some fougasse.
While our breads are baking, we'll wrap up with a chat about starter care, because you can never have enough yeast chat in a day.
This workshop assumes no knowledge, so even if you've never attempted bread or you're a keen baker wanting some clearer insight, come along.
At the end of the day you will receive your very own dough scraper, jar of starter and brotform to continue your baking journey at home, not to mention all of your freshly baked goods, so please do bring along a bag to transport it all home.
Looking forward to chatting yeast with you!
* Due to the nature of the workshop, I am unable to cater for people with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance - sorry! *
** This workshop is vegan-friendly**
