Description
The cuisine of Cameroon is one of the most varied in Africa. Food is as varied as its cultures, with over 300 ethnic groups having one or more local dishes, which may have similar variations eaten in other parts of the country. Staple foods in Cameroon include cassava, yam, rice, plantain, potato, maize, beans, cocoyam, millet, and much more. It also boasts of many varieties of vegetables and tropical fruits growing on the fertile grounds of Cameroon such as bananas, oranges, mangoes, pineapples, watermelons, tangerines, lemons, local grapes …
You’ll join me at the local brewery in Brixton for a hands-on cooking class using little-known ingredients and spices. As we cook, we’ll walk through the cultural origins and meanings behind the dishes we make together. I look forward to sharing some nibbles and my unique Cameroonian sauces with you throughout the lesson.
There would be enough food for you to nibble on throughout the cooking class and more so for you to bring back home and try with your loved ones.
