Midnight Apothecary Christmas Parties Down The Shaft!

Tired of the usual Christmas party packages? Time for something a little different! Midnight Apothecary presents botanical campfire cocktails in our festively lit enchanted secret garden with toasted marshmallows, deluxe hot rum toddies and giant flares, accompanied by cheeky cabaret and Christmas sauce down our very own Victorian underground tunnel shaft. Deliciously sizzling and seasonal street food from PiccalilliCaff will be available to keep your cockles even warmer. Entertainment is provided by doyenne of the London cabaret scene Tricity Vogue and her special guests who will entertain you with lashings of festive sauce, including cheeky original cabaret numbers, drinking songs, plenty of costume changes and the chance for a huge Christmas singalong. 

The campfire in our festively lit enchanted roof garden will be roaring as usual to keep those cockles warmed and your complimentary marshmallows toasted. The deluxe hot rum toddy stand will ensure your blood is pumping and your festive singing voice warmed up.  Then descend the brand new grand staircase into Brunel's candle-lit underground  Grand Entrance Hall, described as one of the most exciting new performance spaces and cultural attractions in London today for a very special CHRISTMAS SINGALONGA knees up. 

There'll be three deliciously saucy bite-size chunks of cabaret during the night, each one different, and each one including a raucous singalong to warm your cockles. Because everybody needs their cockles warming down a shaft at Christmas. Guests are invited to bring their cocktails up into the garden, their hot rum toddies into the underground chamber, their street food into both - we really are very relaxed. Ms Vogue and her special guest that evening will perform at regular intervals giving you time to sample our delights above and below ground. These promise to be magical Christmas nights filled with festive mirth, merriment and marshmallows.  But hurry. Tickets are going to sell out like hot mince pies! Oh and please dress warmly - we can warm your cockles with a hot toddy or two but it gets blimmen' chilly down our shaft!

Christmas packages are available to take the hassle out of party bookings. Tickets cost £35 and include entry to the tunnel shaft and roof garden, two delicious seasonal cocktails. street food, toasted marshmallows, cabaret and singalong all thrown in. Groups of ten can book in advance at the bargain price of £320. Vegetarian and non-alcoholic alternatives are available so everyone is catered for. Tokens will be handed to each guest on arrival to trade in for cocktails and scrumptious food. 

Ms Vogue has been a sparkling light on the cabaret scene for over a decade, charming audiences across the country with her trademark wit, quirk and sauce.

Victoria Falconer burst on to the international fringe scene as her accordion-wielding, half-moustachioed alter ego Victor Victoria of cult musical comedy duo EastEnd Cabaret (named one of Time Out London's Top 10 Cabaret Acts), her most recent project is the feminist firebrand trio Fringe Wives Club. Their debut show Glittery Clittery has received critical acclaim across the UK and Australia. She was named on Time Out & Hospital Club's h100 list in 2014 as one of the top 100 influential and innovative artists working in the UK creative industries.

Tom Carradine, already a fixture on the UK's thriving vintage scene brings with him a bit of a cult following with his dapper chappie cockney-sing-a-long on the 'ol Joanna. He'll be accompanying Ms Vogue and presenting an evening of timeless Christmas songs.  Let your host lead you in a traditional cockney sing-a-long with songs from the music hall era, WWI and II, the West End stage and traditional popular songs from across the decades. A good old-fashioned Christmas knees-up!

Pete Saunders plays piano and sings.  Working a rich vein of blues jazz and standards he has a deep gritty unaffected voice and a rythmic piano style. It's an area inhabited by Tom Waits and Doctor John with his own unique take on songs that vary from jazz and swing standards to New Orleans blues. He can go from chilling ballads to groovy funky numbers that get people up and dancing. He started his career playing Hammond Organ for Dexy's Midnight Runners on their first album and worked with various bands from the Damned  to Carmel during the 80's.

Vanity Von Glow has worked nationwide and abroad for seven years in cabaret, theatre and on television and is a British drag act at the top of her game. She has hosted events for the British Army, performed on stage with celebrities including Lily Allen and Sophie Ellis Bextor, and appeared on TV with Adele.
