The burlesque was fun, the artists were great. But this is by no way a speakeasy. It's just a mildly dirty and pretty modern basement club. The setting is really disappointing. thinkbecca visited Sway on 18 Nov 2017

Fantastic show! The girls were amazing and the host fantastic. The bar staff were VERY slow and had to keep disappearing for long periods of time to stock the bar during service! visited Sway on 09 Sep 2017

The whole performance was amazing! Will defiantly be going to the 2.0 show. But they need more staff at the bar. Because it was happy hour it took over 15 minutes for me to get served so I missed the first 10 minutes of the show. Jessica visited Sway on 02 Sep 2017

We weren't impressed by the "class" beforehand, and ended up not even getting involved because one of our group (whose birthday we were celebrating) was told they were "gatecrashing" someone's hen do when they arrived, and none of us was even acknowledged by the host when we walked in, which was totally rude and unprofessional. The show itself was good fun though, and the drinks were good too. Pity about the class, as it means we wasted an extra thirty quid on our three tickets for something we didn't actually get to enjoy. It was fun as far as it went with a good atmosphere and the host was great but thought there would be more variety of performers and the show was definitely on the comedic as oppose sexy side. Felt it would have benefitted from another half hour and few more acts as it seemed to be over very quickly. visited Sway on 19 Aug 2017

We went on my hen-do and we had a fabulous time. The class was very fun and helped breaking the ice for the night. We stayed on for the show which was very entertaining. I'd certainly recommend it. Great acts and great show. Thanks, Monica Monica visited Sway on 05 Aug 2017

Was having an absolutely amazing time, burlesque has been one of the number one things on my bucket list to always do. I have watched the movie burlesque around 372892 times haha. I was so excited when my partner had found me a show to go see with him especially in my number one place Iv always wanted to go, lolndon. Half way through my night was completely rewened I mean I had made friends and everything before hand and loved the show and coming from Australia I wanted to take a couple photos and a few short films as it may also be something I want to persue within my career and as introduced later in the night, alex the dancers friend in the crowd I think his name was, completely ruined my night was a complete asshole and I was that upset we had to leave. So overall an amazing show but I can recommend not having him their overlooking the dancers. 100% shut my night down, total jerk. Sorry but I had to do this, I was upset for an hour or so, after one of the most major things I have ever wanted to do be destroyed in a minute. Girlfriend of reviewer. Great culmination to our family day out in London, this was our second visit and once again we were treated to a risqué, raunchy, fun show which was professionally hosted. Brilliant night! nickpeck visited Sway on 12 Jul 2015

Booked this a bit last minute (the night before) and went in a little unsure of what to expect. Had a fantastic time, the compère was brilliant and the performers were outstanding! I'd definitely go again and will recommend to others. It was cheeky, fun and downright entertaining. Karen visited Sway on 20 Nov 2015

We initially booked the show for my 60th birthday but due illness within the family we had to cancel, however we were very pleased that our booking was honoured a few weeks later, when all was well. We had a great night, arriving early and taking full advantage of 'Happy Hour', the girls were great, lots of fun, raunchy but not rude. The compare was excellent, guiding us through the evening with skill and wit but not in your face. Definitely recommend this superb show!

I booked the House of Burlesque as a treat for my two bestest friends (Lee and Chris), worth every penny. The girls were amazing and very talented, the compare was devilishly hot and had a brilliant feisty attitude, she was also very funny. Basil Brush was sassy, but I don't think she got the exposure she deserved ! Will be visiting again XXX

My wife and I booked VIP tickets for the Burlesque Show and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The use of a 70s disco floor could have detracted but I thought all of the performers made excellent use of the space available and put on a fantastic show. We would certainly book again when we are back in London.

My husband and I were there the same night as the reviewer below (joanmariaparker) and had exactly the opposite experience. We thought it was good fun, good value, and loved the geishas.

Absolutely awful. The location is in an 80s disco bar complete with light up dance floor stage - definitely not as advertised. We left as the 'geisha' act came on as it was so tacky and awful. Not burlesque at all. Do not waste your money. I'm so upset we wasted £15 each on this event, there was absolutely no talent or skill involved in this cheap drag themed attempt at burlesque. Such a shame

My wife and I attended for our ten year anniversary, we both loved the show and the cabaret acts. The girls were beautiful. Buy all your drinks in the happy hour!!!!

I booked 5 tickets with reserved seating for the 1830 house of burlesque show at Sway bar. The show was really good, we all came out quite inspired. A couple of things let it down.. We found out when we arrived that are table was shared with 2 other groups- 12 on one table was a squeeze and as a result there were several parts of the show that a couple of us couldn't see. Another thing was the bar service- really slow and we couldn't get the cocktails we wanted (choice of 3 pitchers) as they had ran out of glasses.. Also felt that £10 for 2 shots of cherry sourz was on the steep side. All in all it was a good night but I don't think I'd go back to this venue, or at least not pay the extra for the reserved seating- you can see better standing.

An amazing evening, not sure that the sway bar was the best location however the show was fantastic. Will definitely return to a different venue, with hopefully a longer show

Really enjoyed the pop up - great performances and never a dull moment. We attended the class beforehand too; the teacher was lovely and we came aware having learned a short routine. The event was running during happy hour at the club, so very reasonable price wise when you take that into account. The only slight negative was that at the end of the show when the lights went up, they opened the main doors into the club. It was a freezing cold night and we ended up leaving soon after as the club itself became very cold. I doubt this was under the control of the people running the pop up, but we definitely would have stuck around for more drinks if it had not happened. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed it - will definitely go again.
