Was a lovely concept, and beautiful views and space. However it echoes a lot, and is at times really difficult to hear the instructor. It’s very cold, so make sure you bring a jumper and absolutely don’t forget a yoga mat, as it’s really unpleasant doing it with just a towel! Visited Sky Garden on 2018-05-23

I have to be honest I was a little gutted, I booked this for my sisters birthday and I don't think it is made clear enough that you need to take your own mats. We only saw this on the ticket the night before which was obviously too late to get one before the 8am start :( Like I said I missed it on the ticket but it should be made clearer at the time of booking. This is a amazing idea in theory. The view is insane, its calm and tranquil and you see the sunrise across London while you're getting your zen on up in the sky. However... you can tell that Sky Garden is trying to make as much money as possible from this event. It was jam packed, luckily enough I arrived early to get a good spot with my friends. The instructor has a micro phone which you can only hear if she's taking in your direction and if you can't hear her its also hard to see her, as the area is a long and narrow space. The yoga class is not very intense, I would say its a good starter class, something that is beginner friendly. The breakfast was described as continental. This was far from the case. The options for breakfast was a choice between 2 smoothies with a choice between 3 muffins. Continental is pushing it I think. Other that it was fun! Visited Sky Garden on 2018-05-12

Sunrise Yoga at the Sky Garden was a wonderful experience and we left feeling relaxed and well stretched! The only thing I would advise is that you get there early because the yoga takes place in a large area, the instructor does use a microphone but there's only one speaker which rather than being in the middle was kept over the left side - this meant that everyone over the right side had no chance of hearing her! So sadly we did have to look down the line at everyone else to copy what to do next but apart from that we loved it! Visited Sky Garden on 2018-05-12

The setting was beautiful (particularly the views of the City) and the continental breakfast was adequate. However, the yoga instructor could not be heard over top of her music, despite people notifying her of the same, and kept going to one side of the space which left the other side in the dark as to what was going on. The sequence was choppy and did not flow, which was a shame because the whole environment was beautiful. Visited Sky Garden on 2018-05-12

While we absolutely LOVED sunrise yoga, it was a bit challenging to hear the instructor through some parts, so it wasn’t as easy of a process as expected. We were also a little disappointed with the breakfast buffet selection (we booked yoga and breakfast), as we felt the selection was a bit lacking in relation to the price we paid. However, it was still a lovely experience, and I would personally go back to sunrise yoga again!! The views are wonderful and it was just a lovely way to start the day! The overall experience was good, although a few things could have been better. The sound system is really poor, especially when the teacher moves around. I could hear about 20% of what was being said. I would recommend using a better microphone and buying a few speakers to be positioned at both sides of the room. The breakfast was also very limited. I could only get a muffin - there should be a range of options to choose from. I also wanted to get coffee, which I would have paid on top of my ticket, but the only way to get it was to re-queue again. I of course didn't. It's a pity, because you would make more money if the staff is more flexible. Visited Sky Garden on 2018-04-21

The yoga was brilliant. The teacher was great. The breakfast was the only negative. They ran out of breakfast smoothies and it was a boiling hot day. We were offered tea or coffee. I asked for a decaf coffee because I can’t have caffeine. The coffee never came. The service was very bad at the bar area. This really let down the experience. Visited Sky Garden on 2018-04-22

The views from the sky gardens were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately whilst doing the yoga myself and my partner along with other people were unable to hear the yoga instructor as the microphone was not working properly so we had to keep looking to work out what to do next. The level of yoga being taught was quite advanced and again this made it more difficult when not being able to hear. We felt as though we were unable to get into and remain in a flow because we were unsure of what to do next. Visited Sky Garden on 2018-04-22

The idea to have a yoga class at Sky Gardens is amazing, the location is breathtaking. However, the experience felt like not too much thought or effort was put into it. It was quite noisy as an alarm was blaring the whole time and people were moving about, cleaning and preparing the venue for the regular opening hours. In addition, the yoga teacher did not put much effort in to her class. Visited Sky Garden on 2018-04-17

The yoga instructor and class was brilliant, way better than I expected. She kept a pace we could all keep up with and provided some alternatives for the more advanced participant. Annoyingly there was an alarm going off the entire time during our session which was pretty distracting. Our group also didn't find the security staff the cheeriest of people, very curt on entering and leaving the session -but I guess at that time in the morning its understandable. Having read the reviews I went with low expectations, but I'd a friend visiting London this weekend that I used to go on yoga retreats with so thought it would be a fun thing to do together. The environment is TOO COLD for yoga, you would have to be doing a seriously fast and dynamic class to get warm in this space (at least in the winter), which isn't possible when most of the class seem to be novices there to take photos (during the class!) and have a giggle. (It might be different on a non bank holiday weekend, i've only been this once...) This is a lovely idea and ok to do once for the experience, but don't go for the yoga! And that's not a criticism of the instructor who in normal circumstances I'm sure would be excellent but I don't think anyone can realistically teach a yoga class of 60 people, nevermind when they have visual obstructions preventing them from seeing everyone at once and the general public walking around the gardens at the same time. And yes, as other people have mentioned the teachers mike was creating all sorts of crackling noises. Sad not to be able to say something more positive :( Visited Sky Garden on 2018-03-31

Unfortunately, it was really difficult to hear what the yoga instructor was saying. The speaker wasn’t loud enough, and the ambient noise of people walking past, staring, taking photos made it very difficult to relax. The space was limited and it wasn’t possible to perform a lot of the yoga as people were too close to my mat despite arriving early to get a good place. Furthermore, for the extra £7 for the breakfast, all that was provided was a muffin and smoothie. A grossly overpriced breakfast which added insult to injury as we left a mediocre yoga session feeling hungry and ripped off. You don’t need to do yoga to enjoy the sky garden, it’s free. Don’t waste your money! Visited Sky Garden on 2018-04-01

Absolutely sensational views and the organisation was fantastic. Slight negatives that it was freezing and lying on concrete without heating made slightly difficult to relax. The microphone had slight feedback throughout... however, saying that, it was brilliant. The instructor catered for all abilities and managed to help the class of 40 through what was a great flow session. The music was upbeat and energising but allowed for thoughts too. I would definitely go again (but maybe on a warmer day) Visited Sky Garden on 2018-03-31

This was my second time trying the skygarden yoga+breakfast experience and it was really disappointing compared to my first time. First of all the doors were not opening downstairs and the class started late. Things like this can happen I understand, however there was no one at reception before 8 am and the yoga teacher had to call security to open the doors. To continue the venue did not look clean and generally I have noticed a decrease in the level of service for a venue like this. To finish the breakfast was just a joke...1 juice and 1 muffin? Last time I did yoga + breakfast there was a buffet...for 8 pounds they could at least give a coffee/tea. Overall it was not a great experience a part from the yoga class itself and the teacher. The doors weren’t opening and we started 15 mins later. As a result, the lesson lasted less than one hour. The lesson itself was 10 GBP, with 8 GBP we were promised breakfast. Sunrise Yoga is one of my favourite activities to do in London and I have been here about ten times. The view is incredible, the breakfast is unlimited, and I’ve been known to spend the whole morning there working after a class. However, the teachers are not very helpful if you are new to yoga, and it can be a bit of a squish if it’s a busy day. I think this is great to do if you’re with a friend, have been to a few classes before and can follow instructions, and want to feel energised for the rest of the day. Would recommend, but the organisers could make this so much better... Visited Sky Garden on 2017-03-09

The tutor, Izy is brilliant! I was not very open to the idea of doing yoga and now I am a regular alongside a few friends! She was great at describing what to do for those who are beginners and do not know the difference between 'downward-facing dog' and 'warrior', to those who are experienced and have been doing yoga for a long time. She maintains instruction until the very end of the session - not assuming that anybody has 'mastered' it and working to all levels. Her style is relaxed but she offers extra support when needed and has an eye for when people need extra support. The view from Sky Garden is phenomenal and breakfast is just a bonus! Everybody should do Sunrise Yoga on a Friday morning!! Definitely, totally, absolutely worth every penny and the super early start!! Visited Sky Garden on 2017-10-20

Sunrise Yoga wa a lot of fun. The breakfast was great too. My only complaint was that it was hard to hear the instructor. The Skygardens themselves are great, so loved the venue. We, and quite a few others, didn't realise that the yoga was actually on the top level. A sign when we arrived would have been useful. The WCs smelt like rather bad mens urinals so not sure what happened there. The teacher was lovely. Only problem was her headset was not great and we could only hear her occasionally which made it very difficult to follow the class. Overall, venue is great and experience was good. All other dates I attended where really good. However the yoga teacher last time was not great. One could hardly hear her, the music was too loud, the mic was not working, instructions not clear and the actual practice just didn't flow. It felt we have spent most of our time in downward dog position. It would be good to know who is teaching in advance. All other teachers were Visited Sky Garden on 2017-10-13

I did attend Sunrise Yoga at Skygarden/w breakfast now for the second time - this time I had chosen a Sunday morning class, whereas my first experience was mid-week. The overall experience was nice. A not too demanding class, good to wake up with a good flow & clear instructions. Lot more people compared to my first time - not crowded, well filled class, still plenty space for everyone. Shall go back again for my yoga-soaking-up-the-view-treat in a while. What I did not like was the fact, that due to it being sunday practically all tables for breakfast had been booked for other people (yoga starts later on the weekend, thus visitors roam already the skygarden once you're finished). Midweek the breakfast was put up near the bar on the "backside" facing towards Gherkin - on sunday it was a separate buffet facing towards the Shard. Practically all tables had reserved notes and staff asked yogi(ni)s to free the tables as breakfasting folk would arrive in a bit (even if the tables then stayed free for another half hour min...). A lucky few had already started tucking in and staff did not move them. So, for a more relaxed post skygarden yoga breakfast - make space in your weekday calendar... Visited Sky Garden on 2017-09-03

Very basic class - the teacher didn't not introduce herself and didn't ask for any injuries, the postures were not corrected at all - everyone was doing whatever they thought was ok. On top of that the teacher did not use a microphone so we could not hear her instructions. Shame... Visited Sky Garden on 2017-09-10

Great session, so wonderful to see the sun come up as we stretched. Really beautiful. Shame that the middle section of the class was so fast paced. Best way to see Sky Gardens without the touristy wait so well worth the early start. Nevertheless the Yoga set up was dreadful. Teacher was not there early enough to explain where to place our mats, restricted viewing areas, have a warm up chat etc. It was chaotic and incredibly overcrowded - over 100 in nooks and crannies around the space and tourists chatting in the background - bit ridiculous. then the teacher's voice was so weird I couldn't understand a word she said - far too sing song and fake. then the mic failed anyway but that didn't matter as when the sprinkler systems started it drowned out anything else. Overall it was gimmicky yoga session with a view. Nothing that anyone would be rushing back to do again. Oh, and as it was a yoga session the breakfast could have anticipated a few vegans in the audience - there was no where to state this on the booking form. Visited Sky Garden on 2017-09-03

This was our second time at Sky Yoga, unfortunately we didn't enjoy it like our first time (last year). The experience was very average, the yoga session was very basic without much demonstration from the Instructor on the poses. The class carried out in a huge place (not where they had classes at the beginning), had about 100 people in the class which was not practical as you couldn't see the instructor or hear clearly. It looked liked they crammed as many people they could just to make money. I could see lot of people were confused as the speakers were not so clear, we had to constantly keep looking at others trying to guess the moves. Breakfast was nice, but we realised almost all the tables (except 2) were reserved on the floor and had no space to have breakfast. Not sure if we want to go again! Visited Sky Garden on 2017-09-03

Amazing class! Maybe not great for beginners as there was no corrections or individual advice given, but if you have an idea about how you should be moving it's beautiful! The breakfast was great (though proper coffee would be a welcome change) and full of fresh fruit, yoghurt and yummy danishes. Will be going again! Visited Sky Garden on 2017-09-02

Hi all, the experience was very average. TBH the yoga session was super basic with hardly any demonstration from the Instructor on the poses. Great space but not suitable for a safe yoga lesson with so many people .Not the teachers fault just unfortunate planning if spacevand acoustics. The mike had to be used which created additional noise which is ok for a fittnees lesson but not for a yoga class.I could not hear the teacher and I saw by confused faces around me at my end it was the same for a few people. There was also noise coming from the water sprinklers above the plants and people talking at the bar which added to uncomfortable background noise. I had to constantly keep looking at others trying to guess what was the next move.I saw many people in potentialy dangerous positions with no cues coming up how to make the alignment safe.It felt like the whole hype was about how cool the place was but not how safe the actual class was. I think the fact there was a weird noise in the back made from a machine or an air-con fan made the experience quite average... Up to an extent we all wake up earlier than usual to have a quiet relaxed moment, and when we get up there we are presented with a very annoying non-stop noise. Apart from the mic used by the teacher, I would also not have music, as at 7am it just disturbs a bit the experience. Visited Sky Garden on 2017-08-25

It was a truly lovely experience to do some yoga high up in the sky. The instructor was very good. Breakfast was well catered for - it was continental and had a good selection of yummy pastries. The only reason I did not give this a 5 is because the seating arrangements were not so clear and not so available. This was due to there being a lot of reserved areas and was then later advised that there was a space available for the yogis only which meant I had to carry my brekkie to that area meaning my brekkie was interrupted. Once I found myself a seat it was fine. Visited Sky Garden on 2017-08-20

The yoga class was good, views nice and the breakfast food was sufficient, however the service and directions were below our expectations. There were no signs or directions were to go once we arrived, also after the class there were no directions for breakfast. Once we found the breakfast buffet, all the tables had reserved signs on them. Assuming these were reserved for us, we took a seat. After some time, a staff member rather rudely told us to leave and take our breakfast upstairs. Meaning we had to carry heavy trays up the long stairs between tourists. Overall the good weather and nice views made the experience worthwhile, but the service was a real downer. Visited Sky Garden on 2017-08-13
