Really terrible class. Genuinely unable to do most of it because the speaker was making a horrible noise. Emailed them and they didn’t bother to reply. Laura visited Sky Garden on 02 Sep 2017

This was a thoroughly disappointing experience - the class was really poorly run, it was difficult to hear the instructor and everyone was doing their own thing. People arrived late and left early and there was no structure whatsoever visited Sky Garden on 31 Oct 2017

Pretty disappointed - the teachers microphone wasn't working and she kept wandering round instead of demonstrating so a lot of the time no one knew what to do because we couldn't see or hear her. visited Sky Garden on 31 Oct 2017

It's a lovely concept - yoga at sunrise with an amazing view. However, a broken microphone plus 1 teacher for somewhere in the region of 40 students isn't a great combo for anyone knowing what they're meant to be doing. Enjoyed the experience, won't repeat. Julia visited Sky Garden on 31 Oct 2017

The place was very cold and the lesson should have been more intense/dynamic in order to warm a little bit. The microphone was horrible, almost impossible to hear- which means you can't follow the lesson. The view and the breakfast was good but I won't reccommand yoga, but just a drink in the night. Very beautiful location for yoga. The instructor did a very good job. Unfortunately it was very cold during the class, and we were all freezing. The breakfast buffet was very delicious and healthy. A bit unfortunate that every table during the lower area was reserved for someone other than the yoga-attendees such that we had to sit in the back of the skygarden. But overall it was a very good experience. visited Sky Garden on 28 Oct 2017

The class was very busy so you did not have enough room to properly execute poses. You could not see the instructor for half of the time and the microphone was really meaning you could not hear her some of them time either. Fantastic views and atmosphere but would not recommend the yoga class itself. visited Sky Garden on 25 Oct 2017

Nice place and intention but a bit disappointing in the end: the lights on the ceiling were on before the sunrise, so they hit your face when you lay down; you can hear all the noises from the breakfast area plus you can barely here the Yoga teacher. Besides (of course not blaming the venue) it was a terribly foggy day so we could not see any light during the sunrise. Mix of bad circumstances or maybe just bad luck. visited Sky Garden on 19 Oct 2017

The tutor, Izy is brilliant! I was not very open to the idea of doing yoga and now I am a regular alongside a few friends! She was great at describing what to do for those who are beginners and do not know the difference between 'downward-facing dog' and 'warrior', to those who are experienced and have been doing yoga for a long time. She maintains instruction until the very end of the session - not assuming that anybody has 'mastered' it and working to all levels. Her style is relaxed but she offers extra support when needed and has an eye for when people need extra support. The view from Sky Garden is phenomenal and breakfast is just a bonus! Everybody should do Sunrise Yoga on a Friday morning!! Definitely, totally, absolutely worth every penny and the super early start!! visited Sky Garden on 20 Oct 2017

The Skygardens themselves are great, so loved the venue. We, and quite a few others, didn't realise that the yoga was actually on the top level. A sign when we arrived would have been useful. The WCs smelt like rather bad mens urinals so not sure what happened there. The teacher was lovely. Only problem was her headset was not great and we could only hear her occasionally which made it very difficult to follow the class. Overall, venue is great and experience was good. visited Sky Garden on 18 Oct 2017

All other dates I attended where really good. However the yoga teacher last time was not great. One could hardly hear her, the music was too loud, the mic was not working, instructions not clear and the actual practice just didn't flow. I did attend Sunrise Yoga at Skygarden/w breakfast now for the second time - this time I had chosen a Sunday morning class, whereas my first experience was mid-week. The overall experience was nice. A not too demanding class, good to wake up with a good flow & clear instructions. Lot more people compared to my first time - not crowded, well filled class, still plenty space for everyone. Shall go back again for my yoga-soaking-up-the-view-treat in a while. What I did not like was the fact, that due to it being sunday practically all tables for breakfast had been booked for other people (yoga starts later on the weekend, thus visitors roam already the skygarden once you're finished). Midweek the breakfast was put up near the bar on the "backside" facing towards Gherkin - on sunday it was a separate buffet facing towards the Shard. Practically all tables had reserved notes and staff asked yogi(ni)s to free the tables as breakfasting folk would arrive in a bit (even if the tables then stayed free for another half hour min...). A lucky few had already started tucking in and staff did not move them. So, for a more relaxed post skygarden yoga breakfast - make space in your weekday calendar... Very basic class - the teacher didn't not introduce herself and didn't ask for any injuries, the postures were not corrected at all - everyone was doing whatever they thought was ok. On top of that the teacher did not use a microphone so we could not hear her instructions. Shame... visited Sky Garden on 10 Sep 2017

Best way to see Sky Gardens without the touristy wait so well worth the early start. Nevertheless the Yoga set up was dreadful. Teacher was not there early enough to explain where to place our mats, restricted viewing areas, have a warm up chat etc. It was chaotic and incredibly overcrowded - over 100 in nooks and crannies around the space and tourists chatting in the background - bit ridiculous. then the teacher's voice was so weird I couldn't understand a word she said - far too sing song and fake. then the mic failed anyway but that didn't matter as when the sprinkler systems started it drowned out anything else. Overall it was gimmicky yoga session with a view. Nothing that anyone would be rushing back to do again. Oh, and as it was a yoga session the breakfast could have anticipated a few vegans in the audience - there was no where to state this on the booking form. visited Sky Garden on 03 Sep 2017

This was our second time at Sky Yoga, unfortunately we didn't enjoy it like our first time (last year). The experience was very average, the yoga session was very basic without much demonstration from the Instructor on the poses. The class carried out in a huge place (not where they had classes at the beginning), had about 100 people in the class which was not practical as you couldn't see the instructor or hear clearly. It looked liked they crammed as many people they could just to make money. I could see lot of people were confused as the speakers were not so clear, we had to constantly keep looking at others trying to guess the moves. Breakfast was nice, but we realised almost all the tables (except 2) were reserved on the floor and had no space to have breakfast. Not sure if we want to go again! Amazing class! Maybe not great for beginners as there was no corrections or individual advice given, but if you have an idea about how you should be moving it's beautiful! Hi all, the experience was very average. TBH the yoga session was super basic with hardly any demonstration from the Instructor on the poses. Great space but not suitable for a safe yoga lesson with so many people .Not the teachers fault just unfortunate planning if spacevand acoustics. The mike had to be used which created additional noise which is ok for a fittnees lesson but not for a yoga class.I could not hear the teacher and I saw by confused faces around me at my end it was the same for a few people. There was also noise coming from the water sprinklers above the plants and people talking at the bar which added to uncomfortable background noise. I had to constantly keep looking at others trying to guess what was the next move.I saw many people in potentialy dangerous positions with no cues coming up how to make the alignment safe.It felt like the whole hype was about how cool the place was but not how safe the actual class was. visited Sky Garden on 27 Aug 2017

I think the fact there was a weird noise in the back made from a machine or an air-con fan made the experience quite average... Up to an extent we all wake up earlier than usual to have a quiet relaxed moment, and when we get up there we are presented with a very annoying non-stop noise. Apart from the mic used by the teacher, I would also not have music, as at 7am it just disturbs a bit the experience. visited Sky Garden on 25 Aug 2017

It was a truly lovely experience to do some yoga high up in the sky. The instructor was very good. Breakfast was well catered for - it was continental and had a good selection of yummy pastries. The only reason I did not give this a 5 is because the seating arrangements were not so clear and not so available. This was due to there being a lot of reserved areas and was then later advised that there was a space available for the yogis only which meant I had to carry my brekkie to that area meaning my brekkie was interrupted. Once I found myself a seat it was fine. visited Sky Garden on 20 Aug 2017

The yoga class was good, views nice and the breakfast food was sufficient, however the service and directions were below our expectations. There were no signs or directions were to go once we arrived, also after the class there were no directions for breakfast. Once we found the breakfast buffet, all the tables had reserved signs on them. Assuming these were reserved for us, we took a seat. After some time, a staff member rather rudely told us to leave and take our breakfast upstairs. Meaning we had to carry heavy trays up the long stairs between tourists. Overall the good weather and nice views made the experience worthwhile, but the service was a real downer. Kristin visited Sky Garden on 13 Aug 2017

It's something really nice to do in a group. Only thing I would say is because it is such a large group, the yoga isn't as personalised as you would get in a normal yoga session. visited Sky Garden on 12 Aug 2017

Overcrowded so ending up not being able to hear the instructor - either limit the number of people or provide a mic Also not warm enough to do yoga, not good for the body, can injure oneself visited Sky Garden on 11 Aug 2017

We had booked for an 8:30am yoga Class, waited until 9am and was told our Yoga instructor called in sick last minute. The floor manager assured us that she would be in contact to reschedule our class for another suitable time. I emailed her the same day to reschedule our class for the following Sunday - but there has been no communication. It's rather disappointing. visited Sky Garden on 06 Aug 2017

Not good - the yoga instructor didn't show up and the team at sky garden didn't let us know until half an hour after the class was supposed to start. Pretty poor given the attendees got up very early on a Sunday morning. visited Sky Garden on 06 Aug 2017

The instructor didn't turn up! We were all offered breakfast as a complementary goodwill gesture which was appreciated and I am now awaiting contact from the manager to arrange a refund. I guess it is one of those things where you can't blame the staff at the Walkie Talkie building but it was certainly frustrating as I had arranged the trip as a birthday surprise for my friend travelling up from Norfolk! Being at Sky Garden is beautiful enough but the class was a little disappointing, I couldn't hear the teacher because the sound was terrible and they had background music which didn't help the situation....The breakfast was really good and overall it was a nice thing to do but I wouldn't do it again because it is not an enjoyable yoga class when you are lost and can't hear the instructions. The Yoga class was great but when we had the breakfast all the tables was reserved for other customers and we didn't have a place to eat. That wasn't good at all because we booked yoga+ breakfast but then been asked to move from the tables because was reserved for someone else?! it should be automatic reserved for the people booked for the breakfast and yoga. angelica visited Sky Garden on 29 Jul 2017

This was my second time at Sky Garden and the first instructor was really good and enjoyed it so much I went back. Unfortunately it was a different instructor, who wasn't great, talked way too much and too fast, I couldn't keep up more than half of the time so was everyone else. I kept seeing people looking lost and looking around them to see what everyone else was doing. Moniek visited Sky Garden on 26 Jul 2017

Utterly enjoyed my experience. I went on a Sunday morning and I left feeling totally zen and set up for the week! The yoga is definitely accessible to all - but not too simple that it was merely a stretch session. The instructor also gave options for different poses so that differing levels could get the most out of the class. Breakfast after was yummy - fresh fruit, nuts, granola, yoghurt, tea & coffee, plus some mini patisseries! And everything enjoyed with a view over the sleepy city. I'll definitely be going again! The yoga was way too light and you could barely hear the instructor. The line outside to get a spot in time was a mess and although I arrived 10 minutes early as instructed via the confirmation email suggested, I was still late. The breakfast afterwords was a complete scam. It was only yogurt and fruit... complete waste of money and effort. Danielle visited Sky Garden on 23 Jul 2017

I have been to sunrise yoga in the past and I found the level very basic but I had a far better experience this time as an "all levels" session. As others have mentioned before, it's very hard to hear with all of the noise from the cafe, sprinklers and the tiled floors but it's a very lovely way to start your day nonetheless! The class was a lot of fun. The view was amazing. The only thing I struggled with was the sound from the insructor. The room is so large the sound gets lost. As the class was so big the instructor was walking up and down to check on everyone, but this made it difficult as there wasn't a visual of each action every time the movement changed. It was a lot of fun as a beginner but also distracting as there were visitors to the garden taking pictures and talking as well as the sound of coffee machines. A good experience and loads of fun. visited Sky Garden on 16 Jul 2017

Outstanding location and lovely, great teacher. Yoga for all levels, very approachable. I was disappointed as it was the second time I'd been and on both occasions I was not able to hear the instructor. They had sound issues ok both occasions. Such an amazing affordable activity but just a bit ruined by a simple technical issue!! I gave the benefit of the doubt the first time, but on the second occasion it was exactly the same. (Even worse as i had brought my parents along who are older and heard even less than I). Yoga should be a relaxed experience where you can listen to the words and instructions while focusing on your self, i was struggling to hear a word so spent a lot of time straining my neck to see the instructor and others to follow the class. Such a shame: I would advise to others if they improve the sound system. Either that or don't have so many people in the class that no one can hear without a successful sound system in place. Great activity in amazing location, totally let down :( Luke visited Sky Garden on 09 Jul 2017

Three star's based on the views/ location The yoga itself was not very well set up, hardly could see the instructor. The class started whilst we were had our bags checked so felt my money was not worth the £10. I have been to yoga sessions which last 45mins and I have gotten more out of it then I did with this class unfortunately it was too slow and I didn't move enough in the time allocated. It was an experience based on the view's. Bhavika Bhavika visited Sky Garden on 08 Jul 2017
