London’s annual St Patrick’s Day celebrations return on Sunday
15th March 2026, bringing colour, culture and community spirit to
the capital. Beginning at 12pm near Green Park Station, the
spectacular parade will wind its way through central London before
culminating in a vibrant festival at Trafalgar Square.
Now firmly established as a highlight of the city’s cultural
calendar, the Mayor of London St Patrick’s Parade sees more than
50,000 people line the streets to watch an energetic procession of
Irish marching bands, dance troupes, pageantry and community
groups. The route travels through some of London’s most iconic
streets - including Piccadilly, St James’s Street, Pall Mall,
Cockspur Street and Whitehall - creating a dynamic showcase of
music and movement in the heart of the city.
Following the parade, the celebrations continue in Trafalgar
Square, where a world-class programme of entertainment unfolds in
partnership with the London Irish Centre. Expect live family
concerts, children’s films, youth performances, community choirs,
traditional dancing and appearances from schools and cultural
groups - all celebrating Irish arts, heritage and creativity.
The festival offers a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere and
provides a meaningful opportunity to recognise the strong cultural
ties between Ireland and London, while enjoying a day filled with
music, performance and shared celebration.
