A CELEBRATION OF LONDON'S BEST MARGARITAS // TEQUILA SPONSOR JOSE CUERVO

Fiesta like there's no mañana when the Margarita Rumble kicks off at The Yard Shoreditch.  Over 15 specially curated, best of the best, bars and restaurants send their mixologists in to compete for the title of Best Margarita in London.

Sample the best margaritas for free as Margarita Rumble are promising two whole hours of unlimited cocktails.

Once you're done enjoying all those delicious drinks? VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE, while live music keeps you la bamba'ing.

You have a choice between VIP tickets and General Admission tickets. VIP tickets get you in an extra hour earlier than GA (General Admission) tickets, and you get to continue to enjoy the event during the GA session, so you’ll have more time to sample. That's the only difference between the two ticket choices per session.

THROWING DOWN

Already confirmed we have some of London's most renowned cocktail bars ready to rumble for your vote. Expect original concoctions from; Wahaca, DF / Mexico, El Patron, The Alchemist, Cielo Blanco, Roadhouse, Cafe Pacifico, Flight Club, Barrio Bars, Be at One, GEM Bar and more to be announced...

SLINGING EATS (available for purchase)

CHEF JAMES COCHRAN

Margarita Rumble is pleased to announce that chef James Cochran, of B.Y.O.C. in SoHo and the recently opened EC3 in Aldgate will be serving up some top notch tummy fillers from those wanting a break from drink sampling.

A heritage stemming from St. Vincent in the Caribbean and Glasgow Scotland, James grew up in Whitstable, Kent, where his love of seafood was kickstarted at an early age before he ventured to London. James was lucky enough to have had the best training in the business under Head Chef Brett Graham at the renowned "The Ledbury" then moving onto the gastropub "The Harwood Arms."

James' new restaurant in the heart of the city, James Cochran EC3, voted by Fay Maschler as one of her top 10 openings in 2016, encompasses his Michelin training into his relaxed vibes, bringing his innovative and now celebrated food to the masses.

Slinging:
Dish One: Buttermilk chicken, sobrasado, corn nuts, burnt tomato and chili jam, coriander
Dish Two: Crispy cauliflower, frijoles, smoked yogurt, avocado, tortilla crumb, paprika

The margarita range was terrific, the stalls were friendly and the event length was just about perfect. It was a good venue, too. On the slight downside the music level was a bit loud (probably trying to fill the place) and some more seating wouldn't have hurt. Would I go again? Yes, in an instant! More drinks than we could handle in this 2 hour shift! Great variety, keen and fun staff at each stall, and we never had to wait to grab 2 drinks at a time! My fear and experience with these events is that they'd be overcrowded and queues to grab the "bottomless" drinks are huge and basically run down the clock for you, but we didn't even get to try everything on offer! A great ratio of drink stands : drinkers! Michael visited The Yard on 30 Apr 2017

Great experience really fun night. Food and drinks we're delicious. Only quibble I would have is more toilets as only three female toilets meant long queues. A d it was a shame to see the VIP tickets for sale on groupon on the day for cheaper than we paid for regular in advance. But the event itself was well organised and great fun. sarah6969pink visited The Yard on 30 Apr 2017

Surprisingly good. Busy event but no huge queues for drinks as all the bars seemed to want you to try as much as possible (and give them your vote as well!). All staff seemed to be enjoying the event which made a change from the all too often miserable staff who don't really want to be there. Already planning for next year! Was a fun event, very nice selection of margaritas to sample, organised well without too many people; it was busy, but you were never queuing for ages to sample a drink. Came away with a bunch of cards for places to try over the next few months, too. rnicoll visited The Yard on 30 Apr 2017
