Specialising in wines and modern European cuisine, this intimate eatery on Stoke Newington High Street is one of North London's hottest new imports. A collaboration between chef João Ferreira Pinto and sommelier Carolina W Seibel, the pair work closely, with wines and dishes designed to match and complement each other - even the restaurant's name is a reference to a 16th century salt trade between their respective home countries of Portugal and Sweden.

The food itself offers contemporary European flavours prepared with British cuisine and guests can enjoy an eclectic menu of items. Fronting everything from Portuguese morcella and celeriac vichyssoise to seafood barley and a veal tartare with cured egg yolk, nardin emulsion and a 48-month-old Ilha cheese, it's a place where intricate flavour combinations flourish.
