Description
Set within the sun-dappled surrounds of north London’s Clissold Park, FINK'S Clissold House captures the easy rhythm of neighbourhood dining, evolving naturally with the seasons while remaining firmly rooted in its relaxed, convivial spirit. Housed within a Grade II listed Georgian building, the café and bakery has long been a destination for all-day dining, but spring marks a notable shift—one that extends its offering into the evening and makes fuller use of its park-side setting.
With the introduction of alfresco evenings, FINK’S leans into the lighter months, inviting guests to linger on the outdoor terrace until dusk, seven days a week. As the park softens into golden hour, the space takes on a distinctly social character: plates arrive designed for sharing, wines are poured with consideration, and the atmosphere feels more like a gathering than a sitting.
The menu is intentionally informal yet thoughtful, built around nibbles and small plates - gildas, house pickles, roasted nuts - alongside heartier bites and focaccia pizza slices layered with seasonal combinations such as crème fraîche with sultana and chilli-spiced lamb, or brown butter with sage and goat’s cheese. A spread of dips, from hummus and courgette babaganoush to beetroot borani and labneh, anchors the offering, served with an assortment of crudités, breadsticks and warm focaccia. Familiar comforts appear with a playful edge, including loaded crisps and indulgent toppings that encourage grazing and sharing.
Inside, the energy continues with a refreshed all-day à la carte menu that reflects the same seasonal ethos. Dishes balance comfort and brightness: creamy grilled aubergine eggs enriched with labneh and vegan ‘nduja butter; a robust chicken, chorizo and white bean salad that pairs chargrilled depth with fresh crunch; and the ever-popular fried chicken sandwich, still holding its place as a crowd favourite. Alongside these sits a vegan focaccia sandwich layered with romesco, grilled vegetables and herbs, reinforcing the kitchen’s commitment to inclusivity without compromising on flavour.
