Sabor

Description

Having previously led the charge at Barrafina, Nieves Barragan has paired up with the former general manager, Jose Etura, to serve Spanish fare at Sabor.

Located on Heddon Street, the London Spanish restaurant is split in two, with each storey having a different theme. On the ground floor you'll find a bar, dining counter and an open kitchen with the menu featuring Spanish dishes from the Basque Country and Catalonia. Upstairs, in El Asador, is a more communal affair with a huge table and plates from Galcia and Castile, such as suckling pig cooked in an asador-fired oven.

For the drinking crowd, there's a separate bar that serves spirits from around Spain including sherries, txakolis and the usual wine and spirits. The entire venue is strongly influenced by Barragan's native homeland, with tapas, seafood and plenty of meat options. Don't miss dessert though - the rhubarb tart is a killer.
