First launched in 2015 in Shoreditch by former Barnyard chef Matt Young, Rök has become renowned for its take on Scandinavian cooking. Utilising techniques such as pickling, brining and smoking, the eatery saw great success and opened a second location in Islington in 2016. 

Rök Soho, the third venture from the restaurant brand, sets itself apart from its sister sites. Where the Shoreditch and Islington branches made a name for themselves in smoked meats and fish, Rök Soho sees the restaurant move towards more vegetarian and plant-based recipes. The drinks menu too has had a health-focused upgrade, with low-alcohol and alcohol-free house meads, as well as drinking vinegars.
