Kitchen Table

Kitchen Table is one of London’s most immersive fine dining experiences, tucked behind an unassuming door on Charlotte Street. The space is centred around a U-shaped counter that wraps around the open kitchen, where just 19 guests watch chef James Knappett and his team prepare a surprise tasting menu right in front of them. It’s intimate, theatrical, and refreshingly unpretentious - more like being at a friend’s dinner party (if your friend happened to have two Michelin stars and a background at Noma and Per Se).

The menu changes daily and focuses on seasonal British ingredients, with each course spotlighting a single element. It’s a proper journey, and the chefs talk you through each dish as it’s served. The experience starts in the lounge (formerly Bubbledogs) and ends there too, with petit fours and a final drink. Co-owned by Knappett and award-winning sommelier Sandia Chang, Kitchen Table has held two Michelin stars since 2019 and also picked up Michelin’s Welcome and Service Award. It’s a must for food lovers who want to get up close and personal with the craft behind the cuisine.
