Opened in May 2015, Nuno Mendes’ East London venture fully focuses on his native country of Portugal and is a small casual dining restaurant in the heart of Old Spitalfields Market.
An all-day dining restaurant, Taberna do Mercado offers small sharing plates alongside an exciting and accessible Portuguese wine list. At Taberna, Nuno wants to share with Londoners the breath of flavours and wines that Portugal has to offer, that inform his cooking and which have inspired him since his childhood.
