Porky's Boxpark

Description

Following hot on the heels of their Bankside opening earlier in the year, Porky’s have brought their delicious recipe of smoky Memphis BBQ, chilled craft beers and blues tunes to Shoreditch. Setting up shop on the first floor of the BoxPark, you can easily reach this Deep South restaurant and bar from Shoreditch High Street and Old Street stations.

Picking a plate at Porky’s might well be the toughest decision you make that day. We’d tip getting started with their cheesy corn hush puppies, before all sorts of meaty ribs, pulled pork and hound dogs steal the show. Looking to make a statement? Come on Wednesday, when you can take on their Man v Ribs challenge and leave with a t-shirt for your troubles (if you finish your plate, of course).

Hold up though, there’s all sorts of boozy options to consider too. A choice of Americana beers rub shoulders with plenty of cocktails, and in typically States-side fashion there’s a particular focus on bourbon. The usual merger of country, blues and rock’n’roll anthems hit the speakers to cap things off.

Porky's Shoreditch - Restaurant Review

Porky's by name and porkies by nature, this joint's manifesto is pretty simple - To give pulled pork the attention it deserves. Slathering up those magical meaty strands and hunks with barbecue sauce and serving it up in almost obscene abundance to the oinking glee of its customers; this is…
