What they say:

The latest addition to the trendy Shoreditch dining scene comes in the form of this interesting new Irish eatery. With a team composed of former Chiltern Firehouse, Fat Duck and Hawksmoor personnel, Nuala brings traditional Irish food to a new audience. Serving up a fascinating menu, with dishes including bone marrow doughnuts, flamed clams and three different types of potato side dish, the kitchen will be overseen by head chef Colin McSherry. Downstairs from the main dining area will be Nuala Bar, a mix between an old shebeen and a cosy Irish pub where head bartender Lauren Taylor has concocted a drinks menu of stunning whiskeys, cocktails and punches, not to mention the best pint of Guinness in London.

What we say:

Departing from the classic image of the Irish pub - sticky carpets, pool tables, stag dos - Nuala is an elegant little offering from Chiltern Firehouse alumnus Niall Davidson. This unique new restaurant mixes bistro dining with the unpretentious, laid-back atmosphere of an authentic Irish pub. Split over two floors, the ground floor houses the main dining area, serving an eclectic menu of traditional Irish food not often found in this part of the British Isles, while the downstairs bar will showcase an exceptional whiskey selection, as well as cocktails punches and the best pint of Guinness outside of Ireland.
