Casa Negra

Description

This venue has now closed.

Casa Negra is a Mexican restaurant and bar serving authentic food, a tide of tequila and a fun-loving atmosphere. You’ll find the venue on Great Eastern Street, easily reachable from Old Street and Shoreditch High Street stations.

The team in the kitchen deal only with the finest produce available to them. Classic Mexican fare is the staple and you can expect tacos, burritos, seafood and delicately spiced mains throughout. Food is served throughout the day and their specially created sharing menus are built for 10 people or more.

Casa Negra is a great place to get boozy too. 25 tequilas and mezcals square up on the shelves, and their varied cocktail card squeezes in everything from the fantastically fresh to the seriously spicy. The frozen margaritas steal the show in this observers eyes though, especially when combined with one of their four fresh fruit purees. Behind a secret door and down a flight of stairs this fun-time party bar/club really kicks off in the mysterious Casa Playroom…

Casa Playroom

The Casa Playroom is a secretive cocktail bar nestled below Casa Negra in the heart of Shoreditch. The venue comes alive at the weekends; when guests head downstairs for an evening of exotic cocktails, sumptuous food and dancing long into the night.

The cocktail list is truly something to behold. It's made up of perfectly blended concoctions with El Jimador tequila and mezcal; which is unsurprisingly never too far from the limelight. There's also an indulgent spread of frozen Margaritas and 'Rest Of The World' offerings to sample while you're here.

Casa Negra Shoreditch - Restaurant Bar Review

What do you get when you cross the Mexican-suave of Gael Garcia Bernal, a soft shell crab and the rambunctious attitude of your eclectic mate Dave who played in that Mariachi band that one time? While you'd think that many may jump at Rafael Baledon's 'Man and the Monster', you'd be wrong, or at least…
