Traditionally, is an informal Japanese bar and restaurant where guests come with friends and colleagues to unwind and enjoy drinks alongside small plates of freshly prepared drinking food. Guests order food and drinks in no formal order and the kitchen serves food as and when it's ready. Apothecary East brings this same Japanese energy to east London dispensing handcrafted cocktails, rare Japanese and local spirits and beers alongside small plates and bar snacks such as sushi, fried chicken, Hirata buns, crispy prawn tempura and much more.
Open for drinks and nibbles as well as lunch, light bites or dinner and bottomless brunch on Saturdays. They take reservations for parties of all sizes and have an exclusive private events room for guests looking for something more intimate and private. Walk-ins are welcome too.
Resident DJs on rotation play an eclectic mix of retro disco, funk and soul, every Friday and Saturday night for guaranteed good times!

Diners can choose to order their highballs individually or upgrade to include bottomless highball cocktails for an additional £25 per person. Apothecary is a fun and relaxed choice for those looking to plan a private event or party in east London with an exquisite selection of cocktails, sake, local and Japanese whiskies and beers as well as exquisite handcrafted cocktails. The menu is made up of Japanese-influenced small plates designed to share. Whether you’re looking for a small wedding venue in the city, an intimate celebration space or simply somewhere to host the most celebratory of post-lockdown reunions, our basement private dining room with exposed brick walls and vintage turntable, is the perfect location. Guests dining in the room are able to choose menus (starting from £30) featuring signature Japanese style sharing plates including robata grilled skewers, sushi, sashimi and hirata steamed buns complemented with a selection of local and Japanese beers, hot and cold sake, wine, and Asian-influenced cocktails like Whisky Highball and the Sweet Pea.
