Description
Punk Royale is shaking up Mayfair with its first permanent UK outpost, bringing a rebellious twist to fine dining. Originally launched in Stockholm and known for its 'brutal bistro' concept, the restaurant blends Nordic culinary precision with outrageous theatrics. The London venue promises a 20-course tasting menu and all-round theatrics, think smoke machines, neon lights, and a party vibe that’s part performance, part dinner party. Expect foie gras, langoustine nigiri, and their infamous caviar bumps, licked off your hand and chased with vodka.
The concept is the brainchild of co-founder Jokke Almqvist and chef Katherine Bont, formerly of Noma, and has earned cult status across Scandinavia for its immersive, no-holds-barred approach to haute cuisine. Punk Royale's other venues have a no phone policy, and it's very possible the London venue will folow suit. With previous London pop-ups selling out fast, the Mayfair launch is one of the hottest openings of the year, promising a dining experience that’s as wild as it is refined.
