Manna

Description

Manna is a smash burger concept born from a partnership between Arcade London and chef and food writer Feroz Gajia — founder of the cult Bake Street — who describes the brand as "a love letter to the American diner," built around nostalgia and the futurism that shaped the 80s and 90s relationship with burgers.

The space was designed by Red Deer Architects, who also handled the Covent Garden opening, with a brief to create "playful references to traditional fast-food culture" alongside a considered material palette and refined finishes — the result being an energetic, approachable restaurant that retains the fun of a burger joint while presenting it through a "fresh, elevated lens." Think 80s and 90s diner-style digs with alfresco seating out front, across a 46-cover space. The restaurant operates exclusively as a walk-in — no reservations.

The menu centres on the Double Manna — two smashed beef patties with American cheese, pickles, onion and house Manna sauce in a soft brioche bun — alongside The Hot One, which adds jalapeños and chilli cheese. Nashville Hot Tenders and waffle fries round out the savoury side, while thick shakes made with Jersey milk come in plain, strawberry and malt chocolate. Marylebone also gets two exclusives: a trifle layered with strawberry milk-soaked sponge, fruit jelly, custard, whipped cream and a cherry, plus American-style cola floats in vanilla, chocolate and cherry.
