Rambutan

Description

Rambutan is a bold Sri Lankan restaurant in the heart of Borough Market, led by British-Tamil chef Cynthia Shanmugalingam. Inspired by her heritage and years of culinary exploration, Rambutan brings the flavours of northern Sri Lanka to London with unapologetic authenticity and flair.

The menu is built around fire-cooked curries, sambols bursting with heat and citrus, and flaky, hand-torn rotis. Dishes like red pineapple curry, lamb ribs with Jaffna spices, and hot buttered cuttlefish are designed for sharing - and getting a little messy. The drinks list is just as inventive, with cocktails like the signature Rambutang and banana-infused negronis.

Set across two levels, the space is warm and energetic, with an open kitchen upstairs and a buzzing cocktail bar below.
