Native London Bridge

Description

After shutting its doors in Neal's Yard, Native is back and this time, they've gone south.

With a focus on foraged local produce, Native is a minimal waste restaurant serving quality sustainable food. The new digs are fresh, with exposed brickwork, trailing greenery and natural light flooding in. Founders Ivan Tisdall-Downes and Imogen Davis continue to focus on seasonal cooking and sustainably sourced ingredients. Only minutes from foodie hotspot Borough Market, the chefs choose seasonal fruit and vegetables each morning, while herbs are foraged locally and seafood is caught by local fisherman in Dorset.

The food menu begins with kitchen offcuts that would usually go to waste, while small plates include fermented Isle of White tomatoes, smoked salsa verde and beautifully cooked venison from the South Downs. We love the sound of meadowsweet custard with Yorkshire rhubarb and coriander honeycomb to top things off. Cocktails are just as inventive, with botanical-led concoctions like the Carrot & Sea Buckthorn Negroni, which replaces Italian vermouth with an English blend.
