Description

Coppa Club is a multi-purpose hangout with some of the best views you’re likely to find in London. Originally hailing from the lovely village of Sonning, the team here arrive on the banks of the Thames to open a welcoming spot good for eating, drinking, meeting and unwinding.

The 250-cover restaurant is a vast space offering a gentle buzz of an atmosphere whether you’re coming by for a quick breakfast or dining late into the night. The menu is centred around thoughtful yet unfussy European food, with smaller plates, grilled mains, sourdough pizzas and healthy salads all on offer. There’s a cafe with snug booths and a fireplace to curl up by in the winter, and a centrepiece brass bar which serves a decent spread of wine, beer and cocktails.

Saving the best to last, the vantage point on offer at Coppa Club’s south-facing terrace is something else. Get the drinks in and take up a pew on the fringes of the river, where you’ll have a front row view of the splendour of Tower Bridge.

...if you fancy trying something different this Winter, we’ve installed eight giant igloos on our Thames-side terrace so that you can carry on eating, drinking and partying outdoors whilst enjoying views of Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast and The Tower of London.

Good location. Food (breakfast) came long before tea, coffee and juice which was annoying and second coffee took ages to make. Food was good and good value. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 25 Mar 2017

Very average. I told them upon booking it was a special occasion which didn't even get a mention. Menu not very vast for vegetarians. Had to prompt the waiter for more drinks and the dessert menu. We were delayed on public transportation and must have tried calling to tell them a hundred times and no one answered. The postcode took us 10 minutes walk in the wrong direction. Food was good but not wowed! visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 22 Mar 2017

The service was really slow. We waited 45 minuets to be served, until I asked a waitress for some service. The food was very poor with my burger being so badly burnt. I did complain and they took it off the bill. I also ordered a cocktail that didn't come. The location was lovely but the food and service let was awful. I am not sure I would return. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 25 Mar 2017

The food, atmosphere and service were good....a very buzzy place, however, we made our igloo reservation on line weeks in advance and I tried to add another person to our booking, without success (even exchanging emails in advance)....I was told they were full and could not accommodate another person. Throughout the duration of our stay, one table was empty so I cannot see why the venue could not increase our party size by one. I was also a little disappointed with the igloo itself as I thought this would be of glass (not plastic). It was a nice experience...I have done it once but it is doubtful I will return. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 25 Mar 2017

One of the worst experiences in a restaurant ever. I have been to Coppa before and had a great meal and service so much so that I booked again for a special occasion. We arrived at the restaurant and had to wait half an hour for a table which we didn't mind as it was a busy Saturday night. However once seated we were basically left to it. It was half an hour before I could grab a waiter and ask them to take a food order. I also asked to order drinks and was told to order them myself at the bar. Whilst the food was beautiful when it arrived I had to ask again could I place a drinks order. We were served table water after we finished our food, didn't get two of the drinks ordered. The waitress then asked for a tip which considering we had different servers for each part of the meal and had to ask to order rather than being served, I thought was incredulous. I have previously loved this restaurant but I honestly cannot believe the service I received on Saturday evening. I had family visiting in London for a special occasion and this meal ruined what should have been a special night. As I say, the food and location were perfect but I feel very let down by the service received. I would love to come back but hesitate to do so after this experience. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 25 Mar 2017

Initial view was that the music was too loud for a restaurant so we asked the manager if it could be turned down which helped further conversation with the waiter and our guests immensely. Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience - the waiter was excellent, and the food and the wine were very good too. Would highly recommend for overall value for money. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 24 Mar 2017

Nice views, Nice enough staff. The food, (or at least the dishes that me & my girlfriend selected) were pretty poor! Basic mistakes with the pasta dish expecially, very tastless & stodgy (Crab pasta dish). My advice would be to burn down the white wine first and to be a little bit more generous on the crab meat. Also, try using dry pasta, cooked to Al dente. You'll prevent it being less stodgy. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 24 Mar 2017

Service was slow and the igloos weren't very warm. We were put into an igloo with lots of other people so it was quite cramped. Cocktails were ok, we didn't stick around for dinner though. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 23 Mar 2017

Service was shocking. We always had to call our waiter when we wanted to order, he never approach us. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so that wasn't an excuse. When we first walk in the host had no idea what table we should sit at. Food was good though. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 21 Mar 2017

Disappointing experience. I booked this venue for a corporate dinner venue. From the moment I tried to enter the restaurant the staff were rude. Service was so poor -it was not busy when we sat down at 5pm and I had to wait 20 minutes for my drink. Food order and service continued to be slow as the night progressed. Food was average -2 small sausages as the starter. The only thing that was good about this venue was the view. Don't go. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 21 Mar 2017

Had a lovely evening out at the Coppa Club at Tower Bridge in one of the Igloos. It was a special ocassion for one of our diners and Coppa Club were kind enough to send out a desert with a candle in which went down well. The food was prompt, hot and tasty. Mains were a little on the small side so would advise diners to order one of their delicious starters. We would particularly recommend the prawn and squid starter and for mains the crab linguine (divine). I would recommend especially if you could have an igloo to yourself. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 21 Mar 2017

Staff ignored us while we were waiting outside to be seated. We didn't know the counter was located inside as previously we were attended to just outside. Customer service great. Location great. The food I ordered was delicious however I rated 4 stars for lack of gluten free vegetarian options. Whilst the idea of having a meal/drinks in an "igloo" sounded really exciting the reality was somewhat different and I felt the advertising was misleading. The plastic covering was ripped in several places and rudimentary taping had been used; this was ineffective and an eyesore. Heaters provided has little effect. The igloo looked as if it had seen better days; it was a birthday treat which left me feeling decidedly underwhelmed. visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge on 20 Mar 2017
